Hi girls,

Many thanks for all your kind words...I have been to see my GP and he took a swab and he could see I had another bad case of infection again. In the meantime he has asked me to take two lots of antibiotics as I did in the first two weeks. Hopefully this should suit it out now.

Ellen54 Ouch! I hope you are not in too much pain...I know it is so easy to forget when one is feeling okay. Please be careful and let us know how you are in the next few hours.

Teench82 Its so nice to know I am not the only one who has problems with the length in the trouser leg. We should start a business for people like you and me. Who knows.

Angeldawn Oh please be careful....I hope you will be all right soon. So you, too, have had an infection and I am pleased it is clearing up.

Teacher30 thanks for your kind prayers...it is another infection but hopefully will get it sorted now. I too agree with you and Ellen54...this site is a real saver. I don't know how I would have managed if we could not have shared our feelings and experiences with one another. The op has changed me in some ways too. I will never take anything I can do for granted again. Just to be able to do the everyday things and learn to relax more often. The housework can wait sometimes. Life is too short.

Hothyssiefit I am sorry to hear you are getting a lot of headaches...I hope you will not have to suffer for much longer.

My love and hugs to you all.

Angelika

Ellen54...sounds like you deserve a treat! Poor gal. You're in my thoughts.

Teacher30...I actively monitored myself into leg cramps. Hot bath with salts helped a bunch.

Much love!

I have not been on since last week, glad everyone is doing okay except for some "bumps" in the road. Ellen, I decided to mow one part of my yard that I had to use my push mower on and also experienced the pains in the groin and pelvic area. It must have been okay as I had my repair surgery this morning and this doc did not say anything. I am home again for the next 2 days but.....

hothyssiefit - I actively monitored myself right back to my vicodin bottle. After being on my feet and walking around for 2 days straight, moving tables around like Ellen54, and staying till 7:00pm to package tests, I feel horrible. I feel like such a wimp but I had to leave early today by 3:00 I just couldn't keep it together anymore. We've got one more day tomorrow. I think I'm faring worse than the kids who have to sit through three days of testing! The hot bath with salts sounds good, I'll have to try it. How are your headaches?? Did your dr. ever call you back?

viteacher - I'm glad you made it through the repair surgery ok. I hope you recover well!

Hi all,
Thanks so much for the healing words and thoughts. I am ok, I took it easy today, no "stair climbing" exercises and didn't lift anything heavy at work. I was more tired today than the last two days and am going to try to get to bed after I hear the "Idol" results. I always say I'm not going to keep watching that but my mind needs a dose of mindless trivia after work and everything else going on in the world. Of course after pacing myself at work today, I came home and couldn't stand how my lawn looked (yard stuff in not DH's thing) so I mowed the lawn. Now I'm really pooped. Will I ever learn?? Oh well, just tired , no pain so that's good.

Viteacher-so glad to hear you got through your procedure ok.. We have all been thinking of you.

Angelika-I so agree that after being so wiped out for those early weeks, I can appreciate things like lifting a bag of groceries, driving, walking comfortably, even housework! Gratitude is definitely in my heart for even the little things.

Take care!

Hello Girls,
I'm glad to hear that you all seem to be on the mend. Of course, some of us are having bumps in the road--God will heal you.

Good news I survived the wedding weekend. Minus my aunt wanting all the details of my surgery--maybe we should have video taped it but I forgot to ask if we could do that--enough whining about her. Plus my sister & nephew came home from Alaska. It was so great to see them. I only get to see them once a year so when they come home it is so special. So we went to a kiddie musuem & the zoo yesterday. I know I over did it (walked & was on my feet for nearly 8 hours) however, it was worth it because I was with them. Plus I got to spoil him a bit--(my girls are 16 & 13) just having him around & hearing him talk & giggle melts my heart.

I'm keeping all of you in my prayers for safe keeping & healing. I too agree about finding this site--its like we have a special connection with each other--a bonding of sorts--I feel like I can tell you things & you understand how, what & why I'm feeling. I thank you all for that.

Blessing to all,
Chris at the Zoo

Hi Ellen54,

I know exactly what you mean...when the mind has been busy all day you just want to be able to switch off and watch something that is so 'easy' to follow if that makes sense.

It must be very hard working so many hours a day and when you have been resting for 5-6 weeks that makes it even more difficult to cope with in the first two or three weeks but you are getting there. My partner is the same! He will not do the garden...so it is left to me but i do enjoy gardening though. It makes me feel close to nature....all those beautiful colours and shapes. I find it very calming.

Gosh the antibiotics are making me feel sick...two lots of them too! I cannot believe I am taking some more again. When the doctor took a swab from my vagina soon after I had very brown discharge all evening. I guess he dislodged some loose stitches?

Another beautiful day....speak to you all soon. Take care and be kind to yourselves. Keep smiling.

Love and hugs,

Angelika

I finally heard from the doc's office. We had to go ahead and start the estrogen because I couldn't function with the headaches. I started them this morning. I'll let you know how it goes.

Hi everyone,
zucru4-so glad the wedding and family reunion was fun for you!
angelika-hope your stomach feels better soon-those meds can be upsetting. Can you take them with food?sometimes that has helped me not to take them on an empty stomach. Keep drinking fluids too.

hothyssiefit-glad the MD is helping you with the headaches. Hope the hormones get you feeling better soon!

I had a bit of a scare-last night I noticed a golf ball size bulge at the vaginal opening which I could see with a mirror. I totally freaked , worried that some other part had prolapsed. As I was crying to DH, he was great, it was so funny, he said" whatever it is they will just put it back where it belongs", very calm etc. Of course every ache or ouch I have had since last night worried me too. I called the MD this am and did get in to see them this afternoon. Everything is fine, thank heavens.
No rectocele or cystocele. Believe it or not it was actually the vaginal wall bulging a great deal from (excuse the details but it may help someone else) BM in my rectum. So... it's back to stool softeners twice a day, fiber, prunes , water , etc etc.
So... My advice today is don't let yourself get constipated!
I am so relieved! Feel a bit stupid that I couldn't figure it out but then .. that's why they have MDs! I actually am exhausted this afternoon but I think a lot is from being so worried I was going to face more surgery.

I am so glad tomorrow is Friday-going to take it easy this weekend. Planning to go get some flowers for my porch at the garden center. I am not going to do any heavy lifting! This week I hopefully learned to not have to be superwoman at home or at work.

Hope everyone gets some good weather this weekend!
Take care and as always, thanks so much for the support!
