Hi everyone,
Sooooooo glad it's Friday! Another long day at work, still lots to catch up on from being out the 6 weeks. It actually crossed my mind"maybe I'll stay and get a project finished tonight" -at that point I'd been there over 11 hours. Luckily, some of the "new hystersister" part of me realized that was totally ridiculous and I headed home. I am trying to keep some of my newly learned "chill out and pamper" skills as I get back in to my normal daily routine but it's so easy to go back to the old non stop "doing" mode. Reading everyone's posts helps remind me it's ok to relax !

me1113-so sorry to hear this week was a bit of a struggle. It is amazing how tired we can get when we start resuming our pre-surgery job/activities. Hang in there. I found that the second week I actually had more of my energy back and didn't have that cramping, back ache and level of exhaustion I had the first week.
Hope you have a couple days off -don't overdo-just rest when you can and restore yourself.

Angelika-so glad to hear the paperwork is done on the house situation. Please be careful not to overdo. Sounds like you have lots of projects as you restore the house.

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend !

me1113 - I hope you have a wonderful restful weekend. This was my 3rd week back and it was awful. It is hard to remember we still have to take good care of ourselves or pay the consequences when we overdo it.

Ellen I think you hit it on the head for all of us - we need to remember our newly acquired "pamper the princess" skills and keep them up even as life returns to normal. I thought i was feeling better and could push it this week, and boy was I wrong. I sent DH out to the movies by himself this evening because my body just couldn't cooperate anymore, and we even had a babysitter which we are never able to get! I know I must be feeling bad since I couldn't wait for him to leave so I could crawl into bed (ok, in bed with the laptop so I could whine where I know ya'll understand!).

I hope that we all have a wonderful, restful weekend. I'm keeping all of you in my prayers.

Hi Girlies~

I got the word on the hormones. Apparently all is normal. I am not in menopause, so the breast pain which has abated must have been cyclical. Pretty wild whatever it was. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am happy the ovaries are working and I suspect so is my family!

Ibeshoppin-so glad to hear you got the scoop on your lab tests with the hormones. I'm sure you must be relieved to know the ovaries are doing their "thing"-

teacher30-Thanks for your update about week 3 -sorry to hear it was tough. It's a good reminder to us all to still pace ourselves. I guess we still have to be prepared for up and down times. I started out week 2 at work with tons of energy and have noticed that last day or so I am dragging. I can't figure out if I'm feeling low energy from recently having the surgery and returning to work or just from all the traumatic news this past week. I guess it's probably a combination of both.

I'm sure that the extra 10 lbs I put on during my six weeks home are also draining some energy. I may have to head back to Weight Watchers meetings again but hate to spend the money. I went years ago and did great but it creeps back on before you realize it (I'm now 20 lbs up from my base). The group dynamics at the meetings really do help alot. Maybe it's time to head back there...Thanks for letting me ponder this issue. I finally decided I didn't want to be so uncomfortable in my pre-op jeans and went today and got a larger size(bummer). The good thing is I can breathe when I wear them!
Good things today...beautiful spring day, filled my patio containers with bright flowers. Took a nice walk with DH and my sheltie.

Hope you all are doing ok this weekend. Take care

Hi Teacher30 and Ellen54,

I am not surprised you are feeling exceptionally tired this week....when you think about it your body has been resting for several weeks and then suddenly you both went back to work full time?

Ellen54 Try not to worry about the fact that you may have put on weight...be kind to yourself and know that when the time is right you will be able to loose some weight if you would like to. Just take it easy. I bet your patio looks lovely.

Ibeshoppin That is great news! I am so pleased your ovaries are both working. that must feel so good to know that.

I am just chilling out today with my partner...its the London marathon today. Going to get ready for our food shopping now.

Take care my Sisters, and chill out while you can.

Love and Hugs

Good Morning!

Ellen54 I lost weight initally but then after starting to feel better got on the scales and had gained some. I went back on WW to lose 20. I want to lose some for June as my DH are going to Vegas!!! (he has a conference). I am 5 9 so no one really notices when I put it on because I am tall, but I feel it! So I am right there with you sister!

Angelika, my daughter just got back from Europe and LOVED the UK. She said that out of all the countries they were the most friendly and fun. So there you have it from a 17 year old lol.

I am going to admit this but I bowled last week! That evening I was very sore. Not in pain but sore. WHAAT is that? Is that muscles and tendons? My uterus was lasered off essentially. Although tendons were connected in different spots. I won't be doing it this week. I thought I would do better because I lifted significant weights before the surgery. Sigh hence I think it has all gone to flab!

ibeshoppin - I'm so gald to hear the girls are working good! I hope you're feeling much better. I think I feel the same as you from overdoing it this week. Not really in pain like before, but just a really funny sore inside. Me thinks we both need to take it easy this week!

Ellen54 - I had lots of energy at week 2 as well, and just crashed this week. I think you're right, it is just a combo of everything. I hope you are having a wonderfully restful weekend

Well, I'm just going to take it easy for the rest of today. I feel like I"m in brain fog again today, I went to the store and wandered around for an hour before I figured out I had everything I needed. I only went for 3 things! I'm just so tired and "sore." I really want to start exercising again, I feel gross in my body all out of shape, but I just don't think I can muster up the energy right now.

Take care everyone! Jen

It is really good to hear that I am not alone in the "tiredness" I did yard work this weekend and what I could do all in one day, took me most of both days! I even felt like I needed a nap and I NEVER take a nap. I told myself that this was because of the ole body getting used to being active again and not age! This will be my first full week back at work as I had that repair surgery this last week so now time will tell how being back with kiddos for a full 5 days will wear on my stamina.
have a nice week everybody.

Ladies, I am in the same boat. I did garden work this weekend as well, and it certainly tired me out. I am glad I am starting to get some exercise, but I can cetainly tell that I don't have as much energy. I feel like I can either work or do something social each day, but not both. My poor DH has to deal with me being pretty much a lump each evening and starting to yawn about 8:30. I also feel that odd soreness inside, which is not pleasant. Whenever I feel down, though, I think back to how I felt even two weeks ago, and can see I am making real progress.

Hi Teacher30,

I have to agree with you. I thought I could do so much yesterday. This week I went back to my studio to begin my clients again. It was truly wonderful. I worked Saturday afternoon (only two facials); then went to a family cookout/celebration for my dear cousin who is being sent to Baghdad, Iraq for 18 months. I would not miss that for the world! After being at the party for two hours (walking around talking to family and friends), I felt very weak all of a sudden and had to go lay down on my aunt's sofa. That went on off and on the rest of the two hours we were there at the party. I would rest for 20 then talk for 20. Well, today is Sunday. I am pooped! DH is doing the yardwork and I just took a nap. The first nap in weeks I might add. The energy is back. Stamina is definitely in the lacking department. Amazing I was so physically fit working out 4 days a week before my surgery.
