hothyssiefit - congratulations on being officially engaged - there is nothing like being official!.

angelika - I hear you - but I do not think we will ever be normal again, I am more redefining my "normal" - we will be a better normal this time around! Hang in there - it will get better, all the posts say so.

Ibeshoppin - Margarittas - yeah - sure to help any funk...

Ellen54 - my DH said to me the other night, "Why are you doing that?" "You shouldn't be doing that!" - My response, in a slightly loud tone - "Because He Said I Could Do What I Wanted To Do!". He being the Dr. I think the anesthisia effected my patience - nill to void lately.

I don't know anymore where I am supposed to be in the recovery cycle - all I know is what I can and can not do now, and what I want to be able to do.
On two happier notes - I am going to be a Grandma (actually a Gamma I am, they couldn't say it right and it stuck - wrong..) but anyway. Grandchild #4 expected on December 23rd! God works in mysterious ways, he takes away my ability to bare child, and yet - reiterates it with my son and daughter-in-law. Kinda ironic but nice!
Secondly - I joined our YMCA today and I am headed over there to work out, well - to move my body around in a Theraputic Pool - on to a better me!
Take care my sisters, hope you all have a blessed evening! Love - Zella

Zella - congratulations on the grandbaby! I feel like you, still not sure where I'm at, but at least I feel like I'm getting better and not worse! I hope you have fun at the gym, but don't overdo it. I started to just do some light stretching and tummy work, and it has done wonders for the swelly belly. It is still there a bit, but nothing like before.

hothyssiefit - Congratulations on the ring Like you said, God has a plan, and it sounds like He brought you in just at the right time for your DD. I'll be keeping her and you in my prayers. I'm sooo happy to hear that you are feeling better. How is school going? It's going better for us now that TAKS is over.

Ibeshoppin - ok girl, I'm coming! Only a few hrs. drive and we can sip the night away. When I lived in Seattle, there was this restaurant we used to go to that sold chocolate margaritas! Now that was heaven

TGIF Hope everyone has a wonderful friday!

Hello everyone... again

Sounds like a lot of great things have been happening with everyone! Congratulations on the engagement and grandchildren.

You ladies can do it. If you feel like you can and the doc said OK- do it, but slowly. My BF still worries and gives me disapproving looks (which irritates me) but I do it anyways. I hadn't been able to sleep and became sooo ditzy and irritable. In one day I almost had three accidents. I saw a sleep specialist and she prescribed me sonata for restless sleep. Welllll girlz- I AM BACK IN BUSINESS! This week I ran 2-3 miles (3x) and rode my bike today for 14 miles. Yes, I still get the reminder pains that I just had a hysterectomy, but not that bad! My first day running, I thought my insides would fall out. But, I decided I wanted to complete 2 miles and didn't stop. I took Alleve and iced my incision. The next day- out again. I also saw a chiro for my back pain- poof -pain GONE!! This Saturday I even have a 7 mile hike. Even though I had been gone- I still thought and worried about each of you. If you were all here I would begin a hyster-syster hike to a happy hour.

Hello Girls,
I see there are some Congrats to go out to my fellow sisters. How wonderful for you!!! God definately has a plan for all of us. I have had a busy week again--I was asked by my friend to go to the Zoo (yes again--3rd time in 10 days) with her first grade class. Who can resist! I had a blast & took some awesome pictures (my hobby) of butterfly's & other animals. Even took time to print some out for my own enjoyment. But those kids wore me out! I love teachers because of their love of kids--but I truely don't believe they are given their just in what they make--so to all my teacher friends I say thank you & may God bless you.
I am still so absent minded. I forget what I'm talking about in mid senctence. Or have to walk back to the room where I just came from & hope I can remember what I was going after in the first place. My kids think its funny & I have started laughing at my "brain farts" too. But it can be pretty embarassing when people around me don't understand & just think I'm half baked. I'm going to start my house cleaning business back next week. I used to have 15 homes that I cleaned myself--I've cut it down to a very selected 5--gave the rest to a friend who I trust will take proper care of my families. Plus, I think we are going to be getting a bid here soon on our home. YIKES! I have so much to pack--lots of "treasures" but my hubby calls if junk. Thankfully my kids will be home this weekend & maybe will have time to help me pack some more up--we only pack on the weekends because the girls are both home & can help. My 16 yr old loves to pitch things so I really like it when she is home. Well I had better get off here & get a nice hot bath & then some sleep. Blessings to everyone & I will keep you all in my prayers!

Hothyssiefit, Congratulations! You are now engaged....I am so happy for you. I hope you will be very happy together. I am pleased things have improved for you and that you feel a lot better now. Sorry to hear about your personal circumstances. I am sure there is a good reason for this to happen. It may not be obvious but someday it will make sense. Take care of yourself.

I am doing okay....the garden work is going well. My partner took me out for a nice meal last night too. I am sleeping a lot at the moment with all the physical work I am doing with the house but it is a nice feeling.

I am off to work again speak to you all soon. Take care of yourselves.

Hugs and love.

Congrats on the grandbaby, Zellabella! My mother is enjoying her first with my new step-daughter, and she's like a kid in a candy store.

Teacher30, school cannot go fast enough for me. I find that my drive takes longer and longer each afternoon because all I want to be doing is getting the house ready for the showers and reception. The kids are at least acting better. I think it scared them that I didn't jump on them for misbehaving while I was gone. I have just adopted a "my way or the highway" attitude. They either do the work or they don't; their grades are showing their parents what they can do. It may also be that they are ready to be 8th graders. I am taking the sped test on May 25! I would love to do what you do.

Thanks to you all for the well wishes! It's so neat to have it good for the first time.

To all my working out sisters, BE CAREFUL. I was helping DH to be move furniture back into the room I just finished last night. I thought to myself, "I am back to myself! Yeah!" This morning I was dancing a different jig. OMG! I thought for sure my insides were trying to find a way out.

Much love and prayers to you all!

hothyssiefit - Good luck on the sped test. Region10 has a good prep course, and I've got my text books from the classes last summer if you want to take a look at them. Which part of Sped. do you want to go into? I like Resource, but really love working with the little ones. I think I'd like to end up in PPCD someday. 4 weeks girl! We can do it! How are the plans comming for the wedding?? I know what you mean about thinking you're back and then the next day your insides are ready to come out. Take it easy!

zucru - good luck on the packing and moving and the house sale. I hope your kids will be of good help this weekend.

Well, I'm happy, I think I have felt more like myself in these past few days than I have in awhile. I actually felt genuinally "happy" today. I've been feeling so weird, like someone will be talking to me in just a friendly conversation and I can't think of anything to say back and just want to get away. Even my DH! He told me last night he is jealous of all my hyster-sisters. Poor thing!

I can't remember the name of the restaurant in Seattle that had the chocolate margaritas. I've never been able to find another place that sold them since. Such a shame! I'd be hiking to hyster-sister happy hour too.

Take care everyone! It is a beautiful sunshine day here, so hopefully it will be a beautiful weekend.

Hello ladies! I know that I have not been on for awhile. I was in for my 6 week to have my perineum stitch removed. Oh my gosh!! That is the G-rated version of how it felt. The MD didn't numb that area down there and it was so imbedded into the tissue that is why it hurt so bad. I did get another 2 weeks off and I go back to work on Monday full-time. I am really nervous because I am so used to going to bed at 10 pm and I have to work till 11 pm. That will be the hardest. I think I am ready for the rigor of work since I have been cleaning out stuff around the house. I have also found scrapbooking to be my sanity. Any way, it sounds like all of you are doing well, with the exception of a few bumps in the road to recovery. I do have a question though. I have alot of suture thread still at the entrance of the vagina. It doesn't seem to be dissolving. It kind of looks like blue fishing wire hanging out. It is quite funny. It doesn't bother me but it makes me wonder. Well it is lovely weather here and my scrapbooking is calling me. Talk later.
