Pains in 5 weeks post op

It's been 5 weeks since my TAH. I noticed a couple days ago, that I started having some really bad pains. It's not on my scar, but it's above the scar & below my belly button, towards the right. I'm wondering if this could be serious, or just part of healing. I thought a/b calling my dr. tomorrow, but I don't want to bother him with what may be nothing. I don't believe I've been overdoing it. My dr. gave me permission to drive 2 weeks ago. So I have been driving & doing errands. But, I have been careful a/b what I pick up & I take it easy as soon as I notice that I'm getting tired or sore.

Has anyone else been having these "pains"? Am I worrying for nothing?

Pains in 5 weeks post op

I am only almost 3 weeks post op (SAH Feb.7) but please call your dr. You wont be bothering him and he is the only one that can tell you if this is normal. Best wishes.

Pains in 5 weeks post op

I'm five weeks post op too (we had the same surgery date) and have experienced more pain the past few days. I had a VH and cystocele and rectocele, but I had been pretty pain free up until this week.

I wondered if it was because I had overdone, so I decided yesterday to take it easy. Basically stayed in a recliner for most of the day and the pain eased significantly.

I don't know what I've done to "overdo" but I'm pretty sure that's what I must have done. In fact, I could probably pinpoint the day I "overdid" because I felt so good last Thursday I was doing stuff around the house that I hadn't attempted before.

It never hurts to put a call into the doc though.
