Back to work today too

Hi there girls. I went back to work today. I totally understand what you mean. My mind says I am ready but by noon I had called the dr for pain meds. I hurt sooooo bad today. Unfortunately, I have no benefits and need the money. Being off for 4 weeks with no paycheck is KILLER! My dh had open heart surgery in October and is on SSDI. My check helps us survive. So, long story short, Di is off to work again. Btw, dr did not call me back so I will suffer tomorrow through the pain. I sure hope tomorrow is better. Wish I could nap though...LOL...Hope you all are well. Talk to you guys tomorrow. Di

Hi kvowe,
It seems to soon to go back to work! I can walk two miles, but I have to rest after. Putting in a whole day teaching would make anyone tired. Especially for someone who's had major surgery. Give yourself a little time. Be careful not undo all the good progress you are making, you know, you only get one chance to healing right!! I have a hard time sitting for any length, it feels like something is being pulled, mostly I find it's better to lay on the bed.
Take care, Surfer

I know what you mean by the sitting, and feeling like something is being pulled too. That is part of the reason why I thought it would be good to get moving again. It doesn't help that my doc thinks that way too. Maybe I am just hearing what I want. It really helps to talk to you all. Thank you SO much!
I will pamper myself tomorrow, and hope you all do that too.
Btw...money is money, but your health has to take priority. Try to make a way to make it work for you and your husbands sake! You deserve the rest. (now if I could just convince myself! lol)

Thanks girls...

I appreciate your kind words girls. I agree, money is money too, but when you don't have any it makes life awful. My car died when I got re-admitted on Feb. 26th. It's going to be $900.00 to get it back whenever the idiot dealer gets it fixed. Then, last night hubby went to the ER because his neck hurt and we worry so about his heart. They say he is ok but it is always scary. I have almost lost him sooo many times in 22 years of marriage. No wonder I am on anti-depressants! LOL... Any way, I am not trying to bore or depress you all with my life but I gotta do what I can to help support my family. We still have a son at home(daughter and grandson are out of the house)and life goes on whether I am healed or not. Wish I had that afflack duck right about now! LMAO....Again thanks for caring and lending an ear. I don't like to upset hubby with my worries..He has enough of his own. Krowe, take a nap for both of us today and pamper the princess alot. Let me know how you are doing recovering at home today. We have all been through alot. I will check back in tonight when I get off work. Thanks again all..... Happy resting, Dianne ( Thank goodness for this site. It makes me so happy to have someone to talk to that has had this done around the same time. )

Well, I realize that my day off today was really necessary, as I was SUPER tired and napped a lot. Thanks for the encouragement to do that. I plan to give work another try on Thursday....and we will see how it goes.
I hope everyone is doing well, and getting the rest that they deserve. It really makes a difference!
