Ok ladies..I have felt great until today. Yesterday i did about four hours worth of work downstairs. Felt fine getting up this morning, but now am spotting and it's red! Been spotting on and off all day, so decided to stay in bed for the rest of the evening.

I am probably bending over too much, but I can't stand stuff in the floor..and the DDs act like the floor is a trash can! lol

Is spotting a week out abnormal? and being red?

I haven't experienced any soreness in my breasts & they took my ovaries but I have heard of "phantom" premenstrual pain after a hysterectomy?

Someone mentioned the "cuff" needing to heal.. that would give cramp like symptoms if you do too much I think.

My hysterectomy was 2/16/07 (TAH) and I came home yesterday. Other than my tummy a little sore from my staples, can't really complain. My doctor said everything went great and I should be on my feet again in a few weeks.

Hi All,
I am finding myself to have good days with energy and others where I feel tired and sleep lot's. I have been managing to fold washing and dry dishes so not feeling so useless. When having a shower still need a seat as find standing for too long dificult. Still getting pain with bowel hoping this settles down soon. My appt with gyn is next tues so will be finding out if there was much endo present. Not too sure iilaad65 if you should be bleeding bright blood at this stage it may pay to ring and just check. I have found some days I bleed more than others not sure why although it is pale pink.
Also get twinges every now and again but I guess it willl take awhile for things to settle down. Good that we can all share our experiences and I am grateful for that.
to you all .

It probably is more of a pale pink.... hoping it settles down soon. I just hope I haven't ripped stitches internally and it is just blood from the cuff now. Taking it easy again today and avoiding the stairs.

Yep, a little activity and then a little more rest - I hope the cycle gets shorter over the next two weeks. I still hope to be driving by the 25th - we'll see

Wow. Some of you ladies are wearing me out just reading your replies! I've been pretty much just in and out of bed this week, haven't left the house because the ride home from the hospital convinced me that car rides just aren't a good thing just yet.
I'm still having a fair amount of pain.. in weird places like under my ribcage (I think that's gas) and in my sides. I'm wondering just how far he had to go to get to my lymph nodes? Anyway, I'm also still pretty weak, I'm curious to see what my hemoglobin is at my followup appt. on Friday.. it was 7.4 after my surgery, so I'm sure that's contributing to my lack of energy.
Anyway, hope everyone is doing well. The main piece of advice that I've gotten about all of this is NOT to overdo it. One woman that I work with (who had a lavh last year) said that when you feel like you're ready to do something, WAIT TWO MORE WEEKS and then try it..

spent the day in the hospital as pain was unbearable early this morning. they've switched my paid meds to dialudin instead of percoset so pray that it helps. Dr. says not to be concerned as everyone experiences different levels of pain ;(
