Well you may find this humerous. I thought my brain was clear but no it is not. I am an online faculity for a college. I had a chat today with my class. After 10 minutes a student said, "professor, we already did this chat." Yes, he was correct, I was leading the wrong chat.

And just when I thought my brain was back!

I had a Lap assisted vag partial hysterectomy on the 9th, so not on hormones. Came home on the 10th. Had a spinal and so did not have much pain at all. I have narcotics to help me sleep at night, but not much need for them. I'm taking motrin regularly and it seems to help the most. I was so sweltering hot the night after surgery (while still in the hospital) that I developed a rash in several places that I have never had one before. Unfortunately, I was so out of it that I didn't know until the next day when the places were sweaty, painful and itchy. Very strange. Looked like I had burns and the nurse said they were yeast infections, I suppose like diaper rash. They are cleared up now, but my skin is peeling. Anyone else have that happen? I can't seem to put anything on my skin to help the peeling.

Summerstar, good luck and have a good recovery.
I had my TAH 03/06/07 also, but just a big old fibroid.
I'm on the mend and hope the same for you

hello all,
i had an sah on 3/7 and today i woke up and felt so much better. Unfortunately though, I feel that I can either walk or recline. Sitting down is really awkward and tiring. I think the most difficult is when I take the strong pain killers, it knocks me out and become a zombie. I feel so much better when I just take the motrin. is it difficult to for anyone else to sit?

hang in there all.

Lakecas, sitting is harder for me too, especially the harder chairs.

I think I tried to do too much yesterday and today I had to take some pain meds again. I guess I'll just have to pace myself today.

Last night I dreamed I was transferring to a new job and during the middle of filling out the forms and carrying on the interview I found myself dressed only in my bra and panties. I apologized profusely as I put my clothes back on and explained that I had just had surgery and was suffering from hot flashes.. ..LOL....I woke up in a sweat and thanked my lucky stars that I wasn't really in an interview.

What is everyone doing to fill their time? I'm doing arts and crafts, very relaxing for me. I think I might get used to this and worry I won't be happy when I have to go back to work. I love my job but having a liscense to do nothing almost makes me giddy.

One of our cats got out last night as we were saying good night to a guest, and without thinking, I ran to go get her. NOT a good idea. Sitting, standing, or lying down--I am sore today! Sitting is usually my least comfortable position, no mtter what, though.

Crafts sound like a lovely way to spend time. I am a movie buff, so I am watching classic movies I have missed seeing. Yesterday, I watched "Anatomy of a Murder," which was really good. Jimmy Stewart was amazing! Today is "From Here to Eternity," which has the famous kissing in the waves scene with Burt Lancaster.

8 days post op

Feeling pretty good at 8 days post op. The hardest part is being sent home with a catheter, and don't get it out until Monday. This weekend will feel like eternity.

Grateful pathology results came back clean, but with diagnosis of adenomyosis and fibroids. At least now there's an answer for what I was going through, and I'm glad it's over with except for more healing!

This website has been a blessing to my sanity!
