I am also having that annoying discharge. I get so frustrated when I hear some of the other ladies haven't been having anything. I am ready for the freedom and it still isn't here! Glad your DH is doing better I am also starting my walking again. I walked 5.5 miles before the surgery. I am working on doing that every weekday--some days I just don't feel like it.

Do you folks get the follow up newsletter from Hystersisters? It really has helped with explanations of the symptoms we are all having.

If you'd like the link:

It also explains the danger of doing too much and causing adhesions and such. My girlfriend had her hysterectomy about 10 months ago, didn't take it easy and is now miserable with these adhesions. They are talking more surgury!! So please, do take it easy!!!!

now you tell me!

Hello everyone! I am the type that has to have an "answer" for everything. Well, you know a reason for the rules type person!
I will read on and HOPE it's not too late to straighten myself up!

No really I have done well since my little "situation" last Sunday night. I rested all week and slept and took it easy. I stopped all my side effects from surgery on Sunday and haven't had one since! I am feeling so y! Well, maybe not quite that but almmost!!
How is everyone? My thoughts and prayers are now with those that are just going through this..everyday you just feel for those "sister" undergoing what we have gone through. Can't help but feel for them and their families. Lots of lovin' will make it work for them too.
We're moving on past our 3wk and wow seems time is just traveling so fast!
I miss our visits but feel like we are doing much better and reality has hit! . Let's get back stronger and stronger each day and make this the "best thing we could have done for ourselves" (After all whats done is done!) We are blessed beyond belief.
Joyful, 3d

Good morning, girlfriends!

I'm three-weeks out from surgery and I'm doing well.
I've had no spotting at all - nada.
My husband had an angiogram last Thursday as a follow-up to a physical, one-year-post-heart-attack. So I had to drive myself to my first check-up - it went fine, but it was exhausting. I was wishing I had called on one of my friends to drive me - but I didn't. So after we both got good medical reports that day, we came home and popped a cork on a nice Napa cab. It's certainly sobering - his heart, my enchilada - lots of medical stuff going on between us, but we've weathered it all gracefully.

Here's the problem. When I get on my feet for very long, I get this pain in the lower back, on the right side - right in the small. It pretty quickly moves down to my but cheek, and down my right leg. Obviously a nerve-thing. Anybody else having that? What do you think it is? Do you think it's temporary or should I mention it to my doctor.

Kudos to my doctor - anybody need a GYN surgeon in the western suburbs of Chicago, I've got the lady for you! She is awesome!

Well I am really getting better. I taught a 4 hour class yesterday and while I did have some aches and pains did pretty well. I did have a chair on wheels and did sit during class discussions but I did it!!

I am so glad to hear everyone is doing well!

The best advice I got from the post op site, was compare how you feel to your first week, not your best day ~ as your days will fluctuate. I had great days Friday & Saturday. Sunday and Monday, I could barely get out of my way!!

My biggest complaint, is the lower back also. Though yours hotlips, sounds more like something is a bit out of alignment, as it is on one side? Waking in the morning, I feel about 80, my lower back is sooooo stiff. A little heating pad, and I'm ready to go though, so can't complain.

Sleeping though, hopefully this will pass. Today seems like a beautiful spring day, so that will rejuvinate me!

Enjoy the day all,
