Hello all! I am feeling sooo much better! The pain around my tailbone is tolerable as long as I keep my bowels cleaned out. Hope you all are doing better also. My only complaint is the achy, everything falling feeling that the a&p repair was supposed to fix is back. Before surgery it was worse standing; now it is when i'm sitting and i have to stand for relief. Isn't that ironic?

Well its 3 weeks and I just wish I knew what should be normal. Spotting seems to have stopped but I get little tweeky pains in what should be my ovary(gone)area and the groin pressure. Do I just keep going and take some tylenol or did I overdue in the beginning and its just taking me longer. Have Laproscopic leaves you very vulnerable for overdoing. Stamina is definitely not there yet. But I very seldom stay down to long. Doctor cleared driving and sex after first week and says at this point the only thing I really shouldn't be doing is lifting over 10lbs. Hope I feel a little less mild pains soon. Is any one else ready to go back to work with a good feeling for doing it????

Just got in from seeing the doctor for a 3 weeks postop. I'm doing very well. I've been released to go to work 3-4hrs/day beginning Monday, April 2nd. I have a wonderful boss who would understand if I need to go home. I'll have flex hours, but will try to go in the a.m. I had a LAPH 3/9, home on 3/10. My hemoglobin is 13.0. It had been 7.5 in December, so I am feeling really good and amazed how much better I feel now even though I have had surgery (I blame anemia). I haven't had much pain, stopped narcotcs on 3/14, had minimal bleeding. I think the LAPH is the best thing I've done for my health in years.

Just a thought--Did you have your appendicts(sp) taken out as well? If sooo...I did w/ my dermoid removal and that is EXACTLY what I felt forever! It felt like something was burning right where my appendix was. That is so EXACTLY what I felt, so I am so wondering if it is the same sensation. Just a thought sweetie, hang in there--it should get better, mine did it just took like FOREVER! Y me

NO WAY! I AM SOO SORRY!
I have had pain in my left leg and well basically it feels like it is not real, like a "wooden leg" and I just kinda drag it along....numb feeling. Pain, well in my groin area more than anything...should I be concernced?

I am so worried about you....please just go back in if perhaps something doesn't seem right, we want you to recover from this--eventually...good girl for heading your "intuitions" and recognizing there was a Problem!
God bless and keep you!

from what I was told it is not uncommon for bloodclots to form in the leg(s) or pelvic region after a hysterectomy... usually its only one leg...lucky me i'm special, i got them in both...lol I had a ct to make sure there were no clots around hyster area..it was clear but i have to be careful they said cause now that i have them (dvt) i'm more susceptible to getting them again... geez.. so here i lay again ...bored senseless taking 325 mg of aspirin a 4x's day (killing my stomach) iron 2x's a day vicodin if needed, stool softners 2x's and now prilosec to hopefully keep my stomch from developing ulcers because of the high amount of aspirin and i have GERD which makes it worse.
3d- If you are experiencing pain in your legs or groin...it wouldn't hurt to call your dr. i waited two days and got in trouble for not calling right away..as much as i'm complaining about it now...i'm glad i did go..what a mess that would've or still could be if even one of the clots would have broke free.. thanks for thinking of me...

i was told by my dr. that the burning sensation was due to my bodies reaction to a foreign object - the stitches and that it will go away after the stitches go away. I don't have an incision so I was wondering about the burning at the bikini line cause i couldn't figure out what it was... hope this helped...
