tstarky: Thanks for your hugs and compassion. Last night dh and I talked, and tomorrow I see my family physician and then I will call the foot surgeon. Both my dh, myself and my mom all feel that this is not the right time for this foot surgery. I am anemic and have had 4 surgeries in 6 months. I think my poor body needs time to heal and think if it is at all possible to hold off on this till say oct or nov. then that is what I would prefer. I am about to get my real estate license and I need time to study plus I am an assistant soccer coach for a spring select team and the season is about to be underway. Plus my dh promised if I was feeling up to it, in april a local radio station puts on a timewarp prom, and since we never went to my high school prom, my dh wants to take me to this one. Aww. He has been wonderful.
Wiccanwoman: Sorry to hear you had such a horrible time at the castle. Hope the rest of your healing goes well.

Brave Woman!

Coloradoan,

I am not in our situation but I wanted to acknowledge you and let you know that I am out here thinking about you! PM me if you like.

It is hard to go through what we are (I had my TAH on the 5th and they kept my ovaries too - thank goodness. But see my post titled I Feel Worse Than Last Week ) AND think about fertility issues, etc. I was so RELIEVED to not be hemmorhaging every month and having hemoglobin in the 7's, that I forgot that others are going through this experience with much heavier impications.

Please know that I am out here for you! I may not know exactly what you are going through but I am a great listener! I am glad you have a supportive partner in your husband. I know the trend is to adopt from other countries and I support that. But also know that I have worked as a Doula for years and have carved a niche in working with women in "alternative" or unique situations. I have attended 4 births where the birth mom was giving the child for adoption. What amazing experiences! I am not saying "oh, just move on and adopt" but I am pointing out that there are lots of children out there just waiting for an awesome set of parents!

I believe that your future is bright and full of parenting! I have one graduating high school and I can't wait to see her less! LOL!!!!!

Please take care of yourself in the present and heal well. I hope there is forum in here for women in your same place in life. Best wishes in your recovery and PM me if you like.

You might want to go get checked for bladder infection--that was happening to me and I have a bad one. Dr put me on antibiotics and a anti-spasm medicine

anti-spasm meds are what saved me in the hospital after my Gyn/Uro re-did my bladder surgery/cystocele 4 times. Although at fist they just said I had gas pain! TAH/AR/TT

QueenieB-
Hope you are feeling better soon. I know what you mean about the anti-spasm meds--I haven't forgot to take one yet--the are wonderful. Hopefully the antibiotics will do the trick. My surgery was on 3/2 and the bladder infection is really the only pain i am having. I feel so good besides that.

I went in for my surgery on the 7th I had Laparoscopic Supracervical Hysterectomy everything went well, got to keep both ovaries. I had to be at the hospital at 7:30 am for a 9:30 am surgery. They got me back in the OR on time even. I had a heck of a time waking up, hate that feeling!! Anyways, I was on my way home that afternoon about 3:30 - they said I would of been able to leave sooner but I couldnt wake up enough! I really wanted to go home the same day and he promised that if all went well he would let me go home, (plus I work there.. much rather go home to much like being at work) Today makes it one week. I am feeling ok.. get really tired about middle of the day, tummy seems to swell off and on.. right side hurts more than anything. Went yesterday and got stiches out - and he told me to at least stay home another week.. he would let me stay out as long as I wanted - but I really need to get back to work..I will be sitting at work and I work 3 days a week.. well they are 12 hour days... but he wrote me a note that for at least the first week back he only wanted me working 1/2 days.. he told me to call him if it is harder than I thougth and need more time.. so will see. I can't seem to sleep though that is really driving me nuts! I don't nap during the day, and am totally tired and when I go to lay down at night and turn out the light I find my self laying there with my eyes wide open! Oh well - things are going better than I expected.

Don't rush too work too soon, I thought I could do that 1 week post-op. Big wrong! Let alone wasn't ready to drive, I start back next week, at half a day. 3 days a week 8 hours.
