I have had not a drop of bleeding or discharge, so I have enjoyed that. It is strange to hear that we all heal to differently.. I walked half a mile yesterday. and was promptly told off by my mother in law. I hurt so had by bed time that I was in tears. I really think that had I taken it easy the first week and then not gotten this cold I would be fine by now.......

on the medical bill thing. I know my insurance was billed 10,000 for my laperoscopy and D&C. My surgery time for the Hyst was shorter, but then had a 3 day stay in the hospital. so... I don't know yet. My portion after insurance was about 1,000 on the first one. They had the hospital write 4,000 off under a "preferred provider discount"

out to lunch

Happy Easter and Passover weekend to all us Christian and Jewish sisters! My we were a gabby group yesterday. I think that's the most pages I've seen added to this thread in one day.

Guess going out to lunch with a friend (her driving) is considered over doing it. It seems if I do ANYTHING but lay around, I aggravate that "hernia" pulling and vaginal sensation. I would think by now, I could walk (not a 1/2 mile), go out for lunch (or not and), function just a little w/o "overdoing it". All the rest of me (including rest of abdomen) feels fine. Just those two areas. Ended up taking a Tyl. w/codiene to sleep last night and seriously debated taking another in the middle of the night when I awoke in pain again. Didn't, because I'm really trying to avoid bowel issues. Couldn't get in for an US until next Tues. and then who knows how long before the report comes back. Going to try to pry info. out of tech. during US but they're generally not very forthcoming. I just want to know is this all normal healing pain or something else?

I must admit the one area my DH is falling down on is the grocery shopping. I give him a specific list (must per his request), but then he decides arbitraily what on that list we should "really" get. I don't find out he dropped something from the list till I go to use it. ARGH. Having DD drive me to the commissary (military grocery store) today so we can do a "proper" grocery trip. I know I'll pay for it big time, still paying for yesterday's lunch, but it's got to be done. Food supplies are getting desparate here. Otherwise, he's great, so I'll forgive him this one quirk.

Well, need to get in shower and get DD up so we can go sometime before noon. Dreading her driving me (more stressful) but I can't drive and she NEEDS the practice.

Keep Healing! LJC

Hi Carlton, to HysterSisters! Glad your recovery has been so easy!

To date I've only received my bill from the anesthesiologist and it's for $1,300. I'm still waiting to get the bill for the hospital and my doctor. I would assume that is being reviewed by my insurance company. I'm quite sure I'll owe something because I believe there's a deductable.

Once I receive it I'll check back in!

Well, I over did I guess.........I am stubborn. On day 7 I thought I'd sweep, not a good idea, but noone was looking and I was feeling good, but that is SO decieving. THen I went back to work (standing job 2.5 hrs) which was also not a good idea, since gravity pulls all those new little stitches. My OB was vague on what I should and should not do, just said no lifting, which I have not done, but now Im in Time Out, since I had to call cuz I was cramping, and they went balistic about me even going to work.........so now, Im back home, doing this, and next to nothing. Funny thing, they said I could drive, but not stand for long amounts of time. I am on 3 weeks post op today.

I am so tired of not having any energy. I am three weeks post op now and still getting tired. I am also still having problems with discharge and bleeding. I was put on antibiotics for a week to help with the bleeding. Then I went and did some cleaning, I dusted the blinds, changed some light bulbs, painted the pantry shelves, dusted the fans, and wiped out the oven. Thirty minutes later, I was bleeding. I haven't even tried the vaccum yet. I did three loads of laundry yesturday and took a two hour nap. This is ridiculous!!! Doing dishes wears me out. When will I get my energy back?

And I hear you about the sex thing, I want my husband like I did when we first met. Do bad I can't have him!!!!!!!!! I am hoping and keeping my fingers crossed that at my week 4 appt I will be released. Think my odds are good? Don't burst my hope!!!

Glad to hear so many of you are doing so well. Keep it up and Happy Easter.

Good morning Sisters!! Happy Easter, Happy Passover! Couldn't get on this morning because Verizon DSL has been horrid lately! Anyone else having issues???? I'm about ready to switch carriers.

Feeling decent today, but my incision is ITCHY and it's driving me beserk! I can only itch around it and that just seems to make it itch more and burn. Geesh, no rest for the weary.

to all the new sisters! Took me a while to read all the posts this morning, and going back over them would take me too long. Great site, you'll love the ladies here and the advice you get as well as the shared stories of angst and positive!

BF is off today, as is DS. Both went off to Sports Authority for roller hockey gear......DS is obsessed with it and talks non-stop about anything pertaining to hockey. He actually told me he's moving to Canada when he gets married so his kids with be Canadian and will play hockey (because, according to him 'that's all they do in Canada) LMAO! Kids!!!!

Hope everyone's day goes well!

Oh my gosh "A. Advocate" you sound like me, it is like Lets get on with it, everything, sex, housework, I do not have time for this. BUT, if you do to much like they told me, you will be back to square one. My OB threatened so.....besides dusting, I cannot do laundry even. Good luck, and the sex thing, I am RIGHT with ya...but Ive been wanting it since day 5.

Hi everyone - Happy easter weekend / passover to all.
LvAggs85 - Glad you got the US appt. Good luck getting them to tell you anything! Watch their face as they are doing it, that might tell you more than anything. Or maybe ask if the radiologist can take a quick look straight away for you? We, too, are going to commissary this morning. Me and both daughters. The 17 yrd old to lift/carry stuff and 13 yr old to help shop. I've taught her well, she is as good as me on knowling what brands I get and how to "dig" for the freshest bread, milk etc.. There is no way I could trust hubby to shop! Even a detailed list (item, brand, size etc..) comes home wrong. Little funny story - when we were dating I wanted to make a spaghetti one night. I sent him out to get a pound of mince (minced beef as we call ground beef in England). He ran out and came back with a box of after eight dinner MINTS! Never trusted him since then!! I've managed to go grocery shopping every week since surgery. First time (5 days out of surgery) I rode round the store in one of those disabled scooters. Try that so you won't tucker out so easy, and it's fun as well! Have gone with hubby driving each week so far, this will be first time driving myself there. I understand your stress over DD driving. I totally leave her driving practice up to hubby. My nerves will not stand being in the car with her driving. When I had to go to the ER a couple weeks ago I had no choice. Mike had had a couple drinks so 10 pm had no choice but DD drive us all over to the ER. The stop/start, sharp breaking did not help the tummy at that time!

Still spotting a little this morning. I am so bummed out that this could be a mini period. Will shoot the doc on Monday!

Good weekend to all

ok. dumb question. I have heard a lot about "mini periods" but have not had a single spot since the surgery packing was removed (talk about the magicians hat trick! how did the fit all that up there!?!)
How common is this and why? Best of luck to all of you, I agree about the sex thing, and it is good to hear that I am not the only one that wants it despite the other pain. I think my hubby would dance a jig if I where released at 4-6 weeks.. hehehe
