Update: Doctor found a Hole in my heart.

So I just found out I have a hole in my heart, they did a Echocardiogram and something didn't look right so they did a "bubble Test" and found a Hole in my heart! So now what? They couldn't tell anything else until my Cardoliogist looked at it. They had A Cardologist look at it but he said that mine would be able to tell me more and tell me if there are any more test I need to go through and if I can have my Surgery. This is my second date for my Hysterectomy! I was suppose to go Feb 12th! Now I have had nothing but trouble since the LAP and D&C and now this! I don't even know how serious this is. Does anyone know anything about this? They didn't even give me a medical term to search! I have to wait until my Doc looks at it. 23 days until my Castle date. One nurse said i might still be all right for my hysterectomy, but she wasn't sure. Talk about Anxiety!

Update: Doctor found a Hole in my heart.

Raja, I am so sorry to hear about this. Sometimes it hits us one thing after another. I have heart scares before and it is truly scary. I felt like a ticking time bomb! It ended up being nothing and they had me scared for no reason. But they have to be careful. I have heard of people finding out about certain heart issues they have had their entire lives but never knew and never had symptoms. The medical world we live in now is so wonderful (at least it can be!) I will pray it all works out fine. Look at this as a "two for one" approach. You might not have had this diagnosed if you weren't scheduled for the Castle.

I know it will be hard, but try not to worry over the weekend. Maybe it's good you don't have a word to look up. I knew what they thought I had and I was devastated when I researched it. Hoping you have beautiful Carolina weather to enjoy this weekend while you are not thinking about it!

Update: Doctor found a Hole in my heart.

I am so sorry to hear about your situation, but it is a good thing that they discovered the hole before performing surgery. The waiting and worrying must be terrible. WebMD seems to be full of information -- maybe simply typing "hole in heart" in a search box might bring up some info for you. But, do be careful -- I imagine your disorder has a pretty big spectrum as far as "seriousness" or not is concerned. Hopefully, you'll hear from your doctor ASAP. Please keep us posted.

Update: Doctor found a Hole in my heart.

It might be a heart mumur, or that was what doctors called it almost 20yrs ago.

My daughter was born with a heart mumur.
This was almost 19yrs ago so I am dragging this up from long term storage

She had a very small hole in her heart that caused the blood(already clean and oxygenated) to go back to the first stage again.
It was about this . big

The up side was this was not life threatening and not causing oxygen deprived blood to move on.

No huge problem since it was so small and where it was located.
It closed on its own when she was about 2-3 months.

If it hadn't then they would have monitored her until 1yr and surgery to close it would have been performed.

MANY people have heart mumurs and not even aware of it.

My best friend's little brother had a friend who had one. Due to athsma he didn't have it closed but was still active.
My cousin's wife had hers closed about 10yrs ago.

How it affects you and your health depends on the size and the location
