HAPPY FOUR WEEKS RECOVERED!! To all my four week sisters, yay, we're one step, one week closer to being back to our old selves minus some annoying parts and irritations.

I'm back home from my weekend out. It was an ok time and I really enjoyed seeing my family. Did some walking, but mainly felt sick the whole time (I think I likened it to morning sickness in a prior post). Got home and promptIy had diareah but overall not as sicky feeling as I have been the last few days. When I talked to my doctor about the hot flashes and nausea, one of the suggestions is rather than start on hrt because I do have my ovaries, is that if things don't settle down there is an antidepressent that is also being used to non-hormonally treat hotflashes. Anyone hear of going that route? On a different note, I was really excited because I did get to buy a pair of jeans two waist sizes smaller than I normally have been able to.

I tried to stay up with all the posts on my dh laptop while I was gone but I ended up doing a lot of skimming. Lots happening, though from the sounds of it.

Superwife: like everyone I was very concerned and glad you are getting the care you need. So set back is a few weeks, but so minor in comparrison to what it could be untreated. Continue to rest.

Lightandclouds: sorry about the cysts. Hopefully they don't become too uncomfortable.

j9mattfield: you were very vulnerable sharing about your life. I know you shared with a very safe group though who will love and support you, especially as the whole hyster thing messes with the body and emotions.

Angelic: How are you doing today? You and Miette get extra hearts from me for being such great encouragers.

Hey Mercey and Jazzy: Just wanted to say hi. I've tried, Jazzy, to tell the ovaries to shape up. Mercey, if I start feeling bad I just remember your embarrassing story because it makes me laugh and then I feel better.

Miette: I feel like I keep asking the same thing, how are you?? But seriously? Are you doing well? Did the itching and rash go away? How's the weather? It's finally getting nice again here.

TC231: Are you doing any better? Emotionally? I was concerned about you when I woke up this morning. I hope you found someone who can help be a support for you through the rest of this recovery process.

Darn it, I know I'm forgetting so many of you, like the new momma (can't remember - is it Kim?) Extra hugs to you going through this with a brand new little one. I'm sure you have lots of help (well, I hope you do).

and Nogreatmischief: you really are a huge inspiration. Thanks.

I wish I had the ability to address you all by name, but I can't remember my own half the time. I pray you all continue to heal and don't overdue it. Be well, dear friends and now that I'm home I can get to the other thread and say hi there

Hugs,
Becky

Hi Rabbit757

Thanks for your reply...it sure puts my mind at rest somewhat.

I'm a little confused as I suffer from a Connective Tissue Disease called 'Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome' and my Gynae did comment that when he removed my 'Bits' they were very fragile... Our organs on occassion can rupture...

I might call and run it by him.

Take care

Becky...Welcome Back sounds like you had a nice time visiting with your family....too bad you were feeling nausiated though....I get diareah often as well since the surgery, must be part of the recovery proccess and our bodies trying to adjust back to normal....I have not heard of the antidepressant for non-hormonal hot flashes, very interesting....hope this is the answer for you!

Hi Becky..

Congrats on the two size reduction!!! That is the most awesome feeling!!!

I have worn my jeans a few times, but they fit minus a little room in the pooch area.

I'm jealous. I bled for the first week and a half or so and then it just turned to this light discharge, not lots but I'm still at four weeks the pantyliner queen and am getting tired of it.

Angelic..

My dr. said that it is normal to have discharge for up to 8 weeks. And, that I "may" see some remnants of stitches around week four exit with that discharge. I haven't seen any yet.

I am so jealous that you haven't had any discharge...lucky!

Thanks Rabbit and Becky....like I said I am not complaining....I think it's a bit odd...you would think that there would be some kind of discharge...even some light stuff...I do find that there is an odor though ...how about anyone else?
