I ventured outside today in the backyard with dh and our 3 yr old....they worked on hanging a new bird feeder, which will give me something to watch....spring def has sprung, the sun is out and was shining on me....I soaked that in for about 30 mins....they say that the sun helps with healing too LOL!

I get dressed everyday, and am up and adam, walking around and doing what I can....but I find at night my belly is soooo swollen and the aches and pains keep me up....I am just taking extra strength tylonols now, as the 3's were causing nausia and such!

OK....I think I am all sat out, typed out, done tired...whew

Gonna go rest....keep up the good work ladies...we'll be up in no time enjoying the beautiful weather soon!

((hugs)) to all

Aww..you girls are so kind

Thanks so much for all your support and kindness. I'm taking my antibiotics and painkillers faithfully. I'm hoping to make it through the evening without having to go back to the ER. I'm monitoring my temp and everything just in case.

lightandclouds: you are so sweet! Thank you for your concern and encouragement. I think it's really touching that you and your DH are so supportive. Thanks!

Paula: thanks for the hugs, sis. Have you gotten your results back from the UA? I so appreciate your kindness and encouragement. Thank you.

Mersey: Thanks so much!! I'm scrolling around trying to find out what is going on with you...are you ok?

Sinsjen: I also wanted to thank you for your support!

Joyeanne: I appreciate your well-wishes, thank you! Are you still in a lot of pain?

Becky: I really appreciate your hugs and well-wishes. Thanks so much!

kylieemma: I'm so sorry you're having migraines... ouch! I hope that clears up for you really quickly.

teacherjpm: Glad you are being well taken care of. I don't blame you at all for pushing the button on the pump... I would have pushed the thing constantly, if I had one. Welcome home.

Miette, yep, got the results yesterday and they said 'no UTI', though I'm still taking the Urelle which does help. Still have the pressure and heavy feeling 'down there' whenever I pee or have to have a BM. Hope that clears up.

How are you holding up? Please know that I pray for you (and all the sisters) every night. I just want us to all get through this as painlessly as possible.

Kylieemma - I used to get migraines, so I know how horrible you must feel. Poor baby! Are you sure taking percocets is the right thing to do? I always was under the impression that some meds can end up biting you in the tush as they have a rebound affect which can create headaches......also, I'm sure hormones, or lack there of is an issue. When I had mine, they always seems to come around the time I'd get my period. Feel better!!!

Angelic, oh laying in the sun sounds heavenly! I live in an apt. complex and while there's a huge yard in front, I'd feel kind of funny whipping out my lounge chair and soaking up the sun. Maybe I need to rethink that!!! You'll be tanned and ready for summer before you know it.

Not sure what I'll do the rest of today. The weather in NJ is sunny and about 63 - I really need to get out in it and take a walk. Haven't even showered yet......bopping around in my pj's!

Just kind of crabby around here this morning. I feel like I have postpartum blues. I told my husband I kind of wanted to rip someone's head off for no reason, so he needed to just stay out of the way. He's out running the snowplow.

I woke up with my first major headache this morning, cried when I had a bm, and am wanting to run the vacuum but I can't. How's that for weird. So, yah, a little irrational. I do go to the doctor today if they get the highways back open from the snow storm yesterday.

Sorry, just in a mope. But it makes me smile to read your posts, and I have others to relate to right now which is very nice. By the way, Mersey, I woke up giggling about your embarrassing story you posted. You were very brave to share that.

It's a little incision issue.
I am on the fluffy side (term used on this site ) and the incision is under a roll of fat (no nicer way to put it) Nice warm dark area for it to be.
Looks a little inflamed and puffy.

A couple of hours off from my appointment to have it looked at.

I'm hoping the doc cleans it and puts liquid stitches on it or something to seal it to help and maybe a light antibiotic to be super safe.
So close to the 2 week mark

Tip for us fluffy sisters - Our cousin said to take a wash cloth or towel (whichever is best) and roll it up and put under that roll to help lift it to get air to it when sitting.

Now if only the nurses had suggested that earlier.... all these little things you find out after the fact huh?

((HUGS)) to all of you who are suffering. I felt like I was coming down with a UTI yesterday-don't know if it was sympathy for y'all or for real. I started pushing more fluids. I think it's my uretha spasming from the catheter-I feel better today. I had a big no no happen last night. I was sleeping (if you can call it that-have had a real good night sleep yet) and I did a full body stretch (I was on my back) and at the same time I brought on leg up and OUCH I woke up-I could actually feel the vaginal cuff pull HARD. I never got out of bed so fast in my whole life. Thankfully nothing tore and everything is still ok today. I feel really good today and actually went to the gym and walked on the treadmill while hubby did a Spinning class-lucky so and so. My swelly bell which dh and I call Dunlop is getting smaller but swells a little by night time. I'm thinking there's about 2-3 more pounds of fluid in there. Well I'm off to sit by the pool and watch the birds and enjoy my Bluebonnet and maybe (because I'm soooo wicked) enjoy a glass of champagne. Unfortunately the dang mosquitoes are already out in force so I'll have to coat myself in bug spray.
Have any of you experienced weird smeel/taste sensations?? Well I hope you all have a good night and a wonderful tomorrow.
PS I must be getting better-the dog hair floating around the house is making me crazy-the family has vacummed but not like I do it.

I'm back and tired from the little I did.
Maybe just because it is past my nap time

Doc was as sweet as can be, understanding, etc..
She cleaned it (ouch) and said it is not infected but she wasn't 100% happy with it.
So she said to clean it 2-3 times a day with peroxide, small dab of neosporin, and gave me some antibiotics to be on the safe side.

She got me tickled.
She saw my bruises and said "Wow! We beat you up pretty good didn't we?"

I feel so much better having had her look at it.

Mersey, so happy to hear all worked out for you. Peace of mind is a beautiful thing! Hopefully from this point forward, it will just get better and better.

My day was rather dull. As much as I wanted to go outside, I just can't get motivated. This weekend, BF and I are going to go for a walk. There's a little park across from where I live that overlooks a large lake. Lots of swans and ducks. Sometimes he and I just go over there and sit on a picnic table and talk. It's just nice to be outside. Not only does nature come alive, but there are so many more people out.

How was everyone else's day?

I so love this site and you wonderful gals. Where else could I go to find out that I really am NORMAL. The catheter troubles, the return of migraines, the BM blues, the hormonal roller coaster, the cabin fever, the biting our spouses heads off then the crying apologies. For me I'd like to know has anyone else discovered the other body fluid that the hormone change has induced? AGHHHHHH I have leaky breasts!!!!! Uh oh maybe now I am not Normal. Love ya ladies. Joye

Sinsjen: I'm going to butt in here and give my opinion on traveling to Seattle, for what it's worth. I'm a freak about blood clots and strokes and such, and I read somewhere that traveling really soon after surgery like this could encourage blood clots. You know, sitting on the plane and all. I'm not one to risk it. If your doctor says it's okay, you'll have to make the call, but I tell you, I think you are going to be absolutely, completely EXHAUSTED and you're not going to enjoy the wedding...you're not going to be a ball of fun at all...and it might only set your recovery back. Again, that's just my personal opinion. I'd err on the side of being cautious and lazy above all else.

I'm up tonight as the house sleeps, listening to the howling wind outside my door and wondering when my next good night's sleep will be!! Thinking of all of you who are having some little problems here and there and I hope you all feel better soon. Keep the chins up.
