Oh my gosh Jane. You are making me feel awful - I have hardly left the house, except for the daily stroll and I had the same op a day before you. I'm not in so much pain now but still stiff and uncomfortable and belly swells if I do too much!!

How is anyone else getting on??

Okay so maybe I spoke too soon. The swelly belly is "genormous" today. And has anyone else noticed "the girls" being bigger?? Overall I have lost a few pounds but don't look it because of that situation. Still need my afternoon nap. Good luck, Marie. The daily stroll is something I would like to do too.

Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing well! Teacher, I'm impressed that you were able to teach all day on Friday. Six year olds take a lot of energy to corral!

I finished a full week of work this week. My job is primarily a desk job, though, and I work with adults (just some 6-year-old egos ). I was exhausted at the end of each day, though, so my body obviously needs more rest than I gave it. I have a little more pain in the right side of my incision (where my doctor did a little more work) at the end of each day than I had before I returned to work, and the swelly belly does seem to be a little bigger as well in the evening. Both yesterday (Friday) and this evening, I feel a strong pull to lie down and rest, which I am doing. Like all of us, I just want to get my energy back and be back to normal! I know many of you are exercising... I'm not there yet. Sitting at my desk and short walks around the neighborood when the weather's nice are all I'm up to yet.

AmyMann, that fall sounded pretty bad, I hope you don't try that again for a while! I'm hoping your family feels guilty for that

Have a great evening, everyone!

Gingersnap, good luck at work this coming week! I returned this past week, because I have a desk job, but I still felt very tired after 8 hours. I think the main thing that caused that is, I had a lot of standing-in-the-hallway long conversations with all my great coworkers that I hadn't seen in a while! Another thing I noticed is, I was hungry. My metabolism must be a little higher with all the healing. I brought my typical lunch, and it wasn't enough to hold me until dinner. In any case, just check your energy level and drink lots of water, and bring extra snacks in case you get hungry!

Suzie-q, I haven't seen you posting here in several days, but I recall that you were also going to return to work this Monday as well, and travel to boot. Be careful out there!

TC, would you mind telling us what happened with your first doctor, the one you didn't like? I hope you like the second one better!

I have had some serious "H-brain" lately - I am extremely forgetful and it seems like I just can't get my thinking in gear. My dh has remarked that I seem ditsy sometimes, asking him things over and over again and forgetting the answers, and it's frustrating. I also say ridiculous things all the time, that with just a little thought I wouldn't say. I'm going to chalk it up to being tired because of work and the body diverting energy to heal... but part of me is afraid this won't pass! Anyone else experiencing this?

OK, I'm going to go and then try to (I love the smilies!) Take care everyone, sweet dreams!!!

the first one, the one I HATE? He yelled at me at my pre-op because I had questions about pain medication options for after the surgery. He was very beligerent towards me. Then after my surgery, I was having a major problem with my hormones. I couldn't stop crying and when I went to him for help, he pretty much yelled at me again and was reallllly condescending, told me "you had problems BEFORE the surgery, you know you did, and I have a really hard time believing that this is totally hormonally related. If youdon't feel better in a week or are any worse, I'm going to recommend that you be psychiatrically hospitalized". He said he'd NEVER heard of anyone reacting this strongly to having her ovaries taken out. He was very mean. However, he did honkerblonk me off just long enough for me to stop crying!!!

Hey Sisters,

I've been catching up on all your posts this evening after being at a Beth Moore conference last night and today. The conference was so great and I'm so glad that I went, but boy am I exahusted! A lot of walking and standing in line and sitting on very hard chairs, was a little much for me.

Angie: Sorry to hear about your DH and all his accidents, I hope he is doing better now, wow hopefully he doesn't have another day like that!

Amymann: Please let us know if you are ok after your terrible fall, I can't imagine what that felt like. Doesn't it drive you nuts when DH doesn't take care of something like that and we have to? I can relate.

Becky (Clinpic): I'm so happy that you don't have to have gallbladder surgery right now with all the graduation stuff going on. The purity banquet sounds like something that we did with our dd's called "true love waits".

Becky (jpgurl): Good luck with the audition, I know you'll do good, you sound like a great fitness teacher to me!

georgiascuba: I hear ya girlfriend on the "H-brain" I have been such a spacecadet myself, I was really worried until I began reading about all the other Hystersisters who have had the same thing going on, I just hope I don't really screw things up at work with my dingy brain.

TC: I'm so sorry you are sad, I wish I had the words to make you feel better about your situation. I pray that in time, you will receive comfort just knowing that your body is much more healthy than it was before the surgery. I hope you also receive comfort just knowing that we all care about you.

Jane: Good luck with full days next week, and with the online shopping, hope you find something cool!

Gingersnap: Good luck with work next week as well, hope they don't overwhelm you the first day. Your little dogs sound adorable!

Nogreatmischief: Hope you're doing well today. I remember when my sister was diagnosed with lieukemia, she couldn't have any fresh fruits or vegetables either, and I think it was because of the possible bacteria on them, could cause her to get infection. We couldn't even send her flowers for the same reason. I so happy that you and your friend are going wig shopping, that should be fun.

Hope you all sleep good tonight!
Hugs!
B

thank you everyone for your kind thoughts. i had a good day today. my best friend, her husband and son visited and a few hours later my son-in-law's parents visited from leesburg, virginia. that took my mind off things for awhile. started "shopaholic & sister" yesterday, so that's been a fun read. i wish i didn't have this constant nausea, it's exactly like morning sickness all day long. i went for a week not taking anything, then today i decided to try gravol (the old standard)...no difference. the prescription med didn't make a difference either, so i'm a little upset that i have to put up with it. sorry to sound so negative. hopefully, next time i see the surgeon, he can prescribe something better. other than that, i'm healing, doing light chores around the house. i really should get outside walking. i admire all you that are able to address everyone individually...that should be my goal when i feel a little better!

i'll post again tomorrow. going to get ready for bed now. i'm keeping up with all your posts and i'm thinking and caring for each and every one of you. sweet dreams and be safe!

Hello All
8a.m.
another Sunday morning here in the UK - time is flying by ! I've got a bit of all your symptoms so I guess we're all about the same - had to get in and out of the car several times yesterday - hubby drove - and then shopped for anniversary present - last night I was huge ! HUGE !! I couldn' even bend over to pull on my p.j. bottoms - and so tired I fell asleep as my head hit the pillow at 8.30. I have to go back to work in a week ! at this rate I'll have to take a camp bed with me ! If i do the Princess thing and lie on the sofa all day and do my nails my body doesn't play up, but if I try to do anything near the normal I'm going to have to be next week - the inscision hurts - the bladder cramps and I look ready to give birth !

Sorry to moan girls some of you have much worse problems but yesterday was definitley a two days back day after a one day forward ! I don't know whether to push myself to do more to see if the energy levels go up or whether that would just put me back .... oh blow it - I'm going back to bed with another coffee - it's Sunday after all.

Hugs to you all - look how far we've come (well you guys have anyway ....... ._
