Oh Toxicbettie that is so cute about your kitty nursing on your ear, when I was a kid I had a cat that did that at night and sometimes would suck on my neck too, try explaining that to people wink! wink! I walked around with little hickies on my neck. I'm looking for some good photos of my chihuahua so I can show you, he is so adorable and quit smart too. The only problem I have with him is he barks too much when we have company. I guess I need to call in Cesar Milan the Dog Whisperer... Other than that he is a perfect little angel and I love him too too much! I'll post a picture soon. Brenda

Brenda, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister. It's nice that you were able to spend some time with her. I hope she feels better soon.

nogreat....I would go with the shave (at least the top of inner/outer legs) it sounds as though you will feel more comfy if the dr. does go there.... and like georgia mentioned, leave the bottom to your hubby if you can... is this your last follow-up appointment? if not, then I'm thinking, he may just want to check up on your progress, and leave the checking and poking for a little later on!

I hope everything goes smoothly for you hon...take good care, whatever you decide to do

Brenda, I have an MVP - mitral valve prolaspe which is a fancy name for a floppy valve in the chamber of my heart. It's not life threatening and I have no restrictions. However at times I do feel my heart palpitate. My suggestion is that you ask you doctor if it continues just to make sure it's not something more. MVP is a common thing in many women (and men) and can be diagnosed by an echocardiagram, should that become an necessity.

Alcohol, caffeine and stress can also make your heart palpitate. But to be on the safe side, especially if it's something new, I'd advise your doctor.

nogreatmischief....it's a personal thing. I'm sure your doctor has 'seen it all' in his years and shaggy legs are no exception. If you feel well enough to do it and it would make you feel better - then by all means, shave. Like Angie said, if you need help with your lower legs, maybe hubby can lather you up and defuzz that area! Either way, I'm sure you'll be a lovely patient!

nogreatmischief,

I would have to go with shaving if you can handle it. Just from a female who's not the outdoorsy, mountain woman type. I wasn't supposed to shave 24 hours prior to surgery but couldn't stand how yucky it made me feel to know I'd be seen in the buff with stubble (I'm a hairy girl). But at the same time, if you can't because of discomfort, then don't do it. No one will care.

Hope your appointment goes well for you.

Bjenkins-my best friend who has already been through menopause and had heart palpitations-she went to the doc-they did a stress test and her problem was caused by hormones. I can't remember the name (brain fog)-but they put her beta blockers for a while. She got off of them after about 2 years and hasn't had problems since. It was more annoying for than health affecting. She would feel an extra beat or flutters-which also would trigger feelings of anxiety. Go see the doc- Take care

Well I was a silly girl today but couldn't help myself. The dh and I took all three of our ds's to lunch today before the oldest flew back to college. I didn't want to look like a frump so I put on a new pair of white jeans (that I ordered while lying in bed recovering) and ....... a thong.......yes, I wrapped one of those little flexible pads around the little string thingy. Seriously, it didn't bother me at all. First day without the granny panties, yay. Ok, I am tired and my butt nerve is hurting but its all way internal not external, and not that serious. I don't think I'm changing over the panties yet, and it will be back to grannies for awhile but it was nice for today.

My poor little female mastiff has an infection in her incision from getting fixed ten days ago so she's on antibiotics now.

Well I think I'll go nap and then plan what dh can make for supper (heehee).
