concordia2007- so sorry i didn't respond..i haven't been online much today. becky did a great job responding..

after my dd's difficult delivery, i realized at 5 months post partum that this "thing" was literally falling out of my vagina...we called it the ball. it was my cervix hanging out..yes, not just showing, but truly hanging out for the world to see. sometimes it would hide, but most of the time it would rub against my undies and irritate everything down there..thus, the surgery.. it needed to be done. sometimes it would hurt to sit bc it was so low. i know, probably tmi...but that's my story and i'm sticking to it.

Sinsjen...ouch! Glad you got it fixed. No too much TMI..its good to hear these things since it helps others.

Big Foot's Mom aka Mersey: Glad to see you cleared the jungle. My husband is a pilot, so I try to maintain a clear landing strip. Role play..what would we do after 8 years of marriage? Plus, I think the Doc appreciated it.

Okay...I am really going to be now. Looking forward to reading the postsin the am. Please sleep well!

Ladies, I could use some help. I've been going along with a pretty uneventful recovery until today. Even though it isn't bad, I've got more discomfort (can't really call it pain) up there in the vaginal cuff area. I've felt twinges here and there in that area since the surgery, but this has been more constant. I did have the unfortunate chair incident yesterday and the lifting of the chubby kitty, but I rested all day yesterday and today. I don't think this is related to that because it isn't sharp pain, like a tear would be. But, I'm concerned anyway. Of course, I have imagined every scenario - and none of them good. Have any of you experienced suddenly new types of pain at this point in our recovery? Of course, I will call my doctor if things get worse. Your thoughts?

Oops didn't really realize it was against the rules to put my myspace page on there, I was just being lazy and not wanting to update my photobucket stuff......I just put so much work into it and it really shows a lot of who I am.. oops sorry... I will post links to pictures tomorrow.

Nogreatmischief, I am glad you were able to find it and read some of my blogs. I didn't mean to make you teary eyed with my poem, it honestly just came to me today while reading everything from everyone! I do look in amazement at my friend and how she deals with her children and their illnesses. I honestly couldn't do what she does, I have watched her kids for a weekend and just about had a nervous break-down at the end because I was so stressed out. thanks for telling me about this forum...

Oh, and one more thing. My discharge is less and less by the day and is almost nothing the last few days. I'd imagine if I had really ripped something with my stupid chair stunt that I might see a little blood. But no. Just the itchy discomfort.

Yeah I'm experiencing new pains too. Mine is just below my navel. I freaked out and thought it was a strangled hernia-but seeing how I've been going to the bathroom and not vomiting-I know it's not that. I think mine is some nerves that are damaged or trying to wake up.
I stretched and brought my knees up at the same time and experienced a really nasty pull in the vaginal cuff. Thought I had ripped or prolapsed. It twinged a couple of days and then the pain gradually went away. that happened last week. My hips get achey too-probably from all the sitting and not doing all the exercise I'm used to. None of this has been bad enough to take pain meds or even Advil, but I get concerned too.
For me I just have to remember I'm not healed and only 3 weeks post op. Like someone said to me earlier-call the doc if it's a concern. Take care and I hope it subsides on it's own.

I'm sorry - I should have read the rules and regulations about personal links, etc. I don't think we intend to be the rebellious group....

[quote=Rabbit757]I haven't checked this thread since this morning...Boy, you are a naughty group of girls and I LOVE it!!!! Mersey, I vote that you shave.

hi rabbit757...i thought i should confess to you (in all fairness to mersey who innocently offered her shaving advice!), that it was me who was seeking advice on whether or not to shave my inner thighs and lower legs before going to my post-op appt. on wed. i don't know if i'll be able to do it myself or not, since i'm still in pain in the abd. area. (and i won't let anyone else do it!)

anyways, i checked back to see what the general consensus was and it seems to be about 50-50! i loved all the responses, especially yours about keeping the landing strip maintained for your pilot/husband!

i will probably end up shaving afterall. what a nuisance! we canadian girls usually don't start shaving until the warmer weather! (just kidding).
