Hey y'all!

Miserable rainy day here in Georgia - blah. Yesterday was gorgeous and I was going to ask my husband to set out the chaise lounges on the deck so I could soak up the sun. Oh well - so much for that idea!

I was thinking about making chili for tonight (actually Frito pie - yum!), but need to get down the crock pot. It's heavy so I might have to ask someone to get it down for me. A crock pot is the same thing as a slow cooker, Miette - do you have those? You throw all the ingredients in the pot in the morning, plug it in and turn it on, and it cooks very slowly all day. In the evening, you have a meal! Wonderful inventions!

Nogreatmischief, you hair cut sounds cute! I had long hair for awhile, and a couple of months ago, had it cut short for the first time in years. Wasn't sure if I'd like it, but I do - so much easier to take care of. Oh, and I love my hairstylist - she only charges me $40 for color, cut and style.

Welcome, j9mattfield! I'm so impressed that you've read ALL the posts!

Clinpic (Becky) - sorry you had problems sleeping on your tummy. I'm a tummy-sleeper and had been pushing the envelope quite a bit in that department. I can sleep on my tummy almost flat out now without any problems!

Okay, all you popcorn lovers out there, I haven't had lunch yet and y'all are making me hungry!!!

Have to admit that I kinda, sorta wish we had the snowy weather some of y'all are having. I love snow, but sure don't get to see much of it down here!

Take care, all - have a great day!

Mersey, hang in there, hon. We've all been through a lot and it's going to take a bit for our bodies to recover. I, too, am feeling rather useless and ignored, which makes me overdo, and then I get sore and cranky. *sigh* What a vicious cycle!! Sending a big your way!

I had a very light hot flash (I can live with this level of them!), felt useless, ignored, unloved, abused, bored, sick and tired of being tired, no energy, usually thinking of fooling around with hubby is a pleasant thing but BLAH to that even.

Suzie!

So sorry you're having a downpour over there. Sounds like spring to me. I love the South in the spring...I used to have a crockpot when I lived in the States, but we don't have them here. I didn't know they were also called "slow-cookers" .. duh.. I should've figured that out! My mom is a Texan and used to do a crockpot roast beef that was fantastic.

Take good care and thanks for the info!

3 week anniversary yesterday. I feel really good-back to my old self. Not back to my old sleep habits but it's better than it's been. The pain around my navel has subsided-I think it was a nerve or two trying to regenerate. Still walking and now indoor cycling-hope to get my heart rate above Warm up phase today.
Miette-you asked about how to know when we've over done it. I'm very attune to my body-learned to be with all the endurance cyling I've been doing. If I wait till my body screams PAIN-then it's too late. For me when I start get irratated (much like when a baby starts to fuss before a nap) and jumpy-that's my sign that it's time to back off. I also make incremental increases everyday. Like last week I got cleared to cycle so I started with what I knew I could do then build slowly from there. I think this is why this surgery was easier for me than my 2 previous csections. I treated myself like I treat my clients. I don't follow the No Pain No Gain philosophy of personal training. Don't worry YOU will get there. I appear that I'm doing great but I get frustrated because I can't do more than I'm doing. Just take care of yourself.
Well off to a nap and then cycling and some light cleaning. Take care all.

Miette, I have to agree, the South is beautiful in the spring! Unfortunately, a lot of our flowering trees and shrubs were hurt by the freezing temps of the past few days. Sure hope they bounce back.

We used to live in Texas - my Dad was stationed in San Antonio when I was a kid, and my hubby and I lived in Houston and in Austin. We loved Austin - hated leaving there. So how did you end up in Norway?? (That's one of my "must visit" places!)

Hey Suzy-We're in Houston-San Antonio is one of my favorite places to visit in Texas.. If I were rich I'd have a beach house in Rockport/Port Aranssas/Mustang Island area, an apartment in downtown San Antonio overlooking the Riverwalk and of course my house here in Houston. I lived near Waco when I was a little girl and was so thrilled when my dh got a job transfer here 5 years ago. I just love it here. Nice and warm here-but cloudy. It was just beautiful here yesterday-I even sat by the pool and drank some wine-enjoying my Bluebonnets and snapdragons.
Hope everyone has a nice afternoon.

Hey, Jpgurl,

Houston was good, but then hubby got a tranfer to Galveston County - yuck! It was so hot and humid there ALL the time, not to mention having to evacuate for hurricanes. We were so glad to move to Austin - such a lovely city. We also enjoyed San Antonio and their riverwalk.

We did have a timeshare at a beachfront condo down below the Lake Jackson area - that is, until a hurricane blew it away! You'll have to try the Georgia coast, especially Jekyll Island or St. Simon's Island, or in the Savannah area, Tybee Island. I love the Atlantic beach.

TTYL!

Wow Jpgurl, im so jealous! I'm a runner and my DR won't clear me to run yet so I'm walking but it's just not the same, I do have a stationary bike down in my basement, maybe I'll try that. I would be nice to get my hear rate up. My main problem is lack of sleep, so my Mom just brought over some Sleepytime tea for me to try tonight. I think if I can get a good night sleep I can better handle life.
I have been so fortunate with this whole thing I really can't complain...

Hello everyone! Had to share the computer with DS today, since he's off this week for Spring Break. Just read through three pages of posts and I agree ladies, it's getting much harder to keep up with both places - and I am a multi-tasker!

I'm feeling so-so today. This morning was better and after a 2 hour nap I actually feel worse then I did when I layed down. Go figure!

Still quite cold here in Jersey - 43 give or take. Getting tired of it and it doesn't look like it's going away anytime soon.

Miette, so happy to hear you're feeling well. Have you always lived in Norway? You're English is amazing.....though I'm a bit naive when it comes to what it should be.

For all you book lovers.....I just started reading "The Secret". My friend bought herself and I a copy at BJ's. It's been reommended by Oprah.....so I started it today. So far it's interesting....but I'm not ready to recommend it yet. I'll keep you posted.

Well Done to everyone on our 3 week anniversary.

Today I sat in the garden in 70+ temperatures her on the Northeast English coast and loved every minute of it.

Still pretty tired at times so laid on my recliner at 4pm and just as I fell asleep my dear sister decided to phone me
