Any May sisters out there?

I'd say keep reading -- there's great stuff here. It's all how you hold it.

Did you check out the other community forums? If you scroll all the way down, there are so many great topics to jump on from everything to fun and games, food, hobbies, weight loss, parenting, etc.

I'm not sure if I've seen a homeopathic forum (my friend is a certified macrobiotic chef so I get all my info from her) but maybe you could start one?

Good luck TM and check out the rest of the site -- it's great!!!!

Any May sisters out there?

I did not mean to insult anyone, last night I was reading the posts and it just got me so down and depressed. I am having this hyster. done to avoid having to live on Lupron and such for the rest of my life. Just reading that I might have to have some sort of HRT after this is scary too. I guess I want to wake up from this surgery feeling like "me" again.. In reality there are no easy answers. Stay positive and don't dwell on the negitive... Thanks for listening..

tm: No problems with venting here! And you won't find anyone criticizing posts. This site can have some depressing and scary posts, but I've found an awful lot of support and answers here. Had it not been for this site, I never would have questioned my bladder issues and would have had to do two surgeries versus one. These ladies have answered questions and concerns I have had...especially now that a whole lot of bladder issues have been discovered. I saw a post on misdiagnosis...I think it happens way too often with women. For me, I had several docs tell me my bladder issues were hormone related and to just drink water. turns out I more than likely have Interstitial Cystitis which I figure I've had for almost 15 years. And while at times, I want to hold on to my uterus and run...I find that with this site, I'll gladly hand it over to the surgeon. I feel for you being on Lupron, my GYN suggested it and I ran! Good luck to you.

ann...I'm heading to Columbus with my DD's to celebrate days 24-26! DD has to take an exam so we're gonna sneak in some shopping and serious relaxing as well as some yummy eating!

I have to agree that it's hard to read all the scary and or depressing stuff. But there are also some good things here. I think that it just takes a little time to go through and find the positive and the instructive. I love the list of questions for your doctor and the For Men section. One other thing that's been hard for me is all the suggestions for shopping. I can't afford to go out and buy new things to make myself feel "pretty" while going through this. I can barely afford the surgery. But, with the help of family and friends, I've been able to get nice things at Good Will and other thrift stores. It would be great to hear about natural remedies and ideas that are healthy. Not that I don't love cheese burgers and chocolate, but when your body is going through major stress, the last thing it needs is an excess of anything, whether it be sugar, fat or more stress. Once again that's just my worth.
just 4 days to go for me. I think I'm actually ready. Other than the last minuet cleaning I need to do. Speaking of which.... away I go!
