My neighbor said after her surgery she went to the bathroom and passed something that looked like liver. Great, I really needed to know that! That was 30 yrs ago....

This is from a female co-worker

Me- I am going to be out for a while, I am having a hysterectomy.

Her- Oh, thats where they take all your girly parts

Me- yep. everything but one ovary is going

Her - well can't you get pregnant if they leave that in there....

I just looked at her, smiled and walked away wondering how she makes it through the day without a brain cell to stand on!

My mom: "You're not going to be one of those silly women who get all weepy after your surgery, are you?"

My boss: "Oh, you don't need to worry about having elastic waist pants. You'll be back in your Levi's in no time!"

My husband: "I don't know if I can do this." (taking care of the kids, the house, me, etc.)

My friend, when I declined a weekend concert trip @ 9.5 weeks post-op: "Stop being so @#[email protected]#! pessimistic!"

I had stupid things said to me in the opposite direction.

A co-worker of mine scared the life out of me when I first told her I was having the surgery. She said, "You're not going to be able to lift so much as a tissue. You're going to need someone there 24/7 for at least the first four weeks. You're not going to be able to pee, or get up, or feed yourself for at least three weeks, and forget about sleeping for at leat 2." I went home and cried buckets. Thankfully, I talked to my doctor, and then I found The Sisters.

And what's scary is these people are allowed to reproduce! And it probably happened with.........only one ovary!

I know when she told me that It took everything I had and more not to laugh. I didn't wanna make her feel bad. She is always coming up w/ something she doesn't even know she is so funny!
