March 30th

Hey Tracey,
Yes, just as anxious as you! I have cleaned my house from top to bottom and back again! I've never made so many lists of things that need to be done.....Sleep, that's another story.....This website has given me a lot of comfort. Knowing that I am not alone and all the advice is much appreciated...Hope you are well and will see you on the other side in a week....YEAH.

How are my March 30th Sisters holding up?

Hey Cathy! I know what you mean about the "nesting" aspect... I'm about to go out to Costco to spend muchas bucks on stuff just to stock up! Sleep is an issue for me too. I find myself catching a little while of zzzz's any time I feel the need (except at work that is - I don't think my boss would appreciate it)....

It's so hard to imagine that one week from now we'll be 24 or more hours out from surgery. YIKES!!!!!!!!!!

How are my March 30th Sisters holding up?

I am very anxious. I have made tons of lists like you.
I have just finished cleaning the house from top to bottom.
I am now doing laundry.
I stocked up on stuff from BJs last week.
Now I wait.....I did have a small crying jag a little while ago.
But I logged on to this site and now I feel better.

Sleep is not happening for me either.
Three more days of work and then one day for the dreaded bowel prep...ugh and then the THE SURGERY.
I wish it were here already. This will be a tough week.

I'm guessing the sleep issue will become more and more prominent for some of us this week..... Holy moly! We're really going to do this!

bowel prep

I keep reading about all the bowel prep and liquid diet.
My doctor has only order a fleets enema at 7:30pm the night before and no food/liquids after midnight. My surgery isn't scheduled until 10:30am. I am wondering if this is enough prep? Any answers..

Lucky you!!

I have to do the phospho soda thing at 9 AM and 5 PM the day before. PLUS, liquid diet the entire day!!!

I guess all docs are different.
I have read many threads where even a bowel pep wasnt done.

Good luck with your surgery.
I'll be thinking of my March 30th sisters as they wheel me in.

How are my March 30th Sisters holding up?

I can't eat any food after Weds night... (liquids only on Thursday) - and I have to drink one bottle of the phosphosoda at 3 on Thurs... then another at 7. Nothing after midnite (which we all know)... but my surgery isn't until 2 p.m. on Friday. Blargh!!!!

I don't understand why I am having such little bowel prep....Are you having TVH too?...I think I will call the Dr. office and ask them a few questions. My surgeon is top notch but, the only thing he told me after my exam and decision to have a TVH was I would not be able to drive for a week.....Has anyone else had any info about climbing stairs after TVH?...AHHH so many questions..I guess now is the time to ask.
Thanks for all info....
