Hey Jen glad you're back. Seems to me life is always some kind of drama or another. Hang in there it will get better.
Guess I'm probably the worst procrastinator of the bunch. I still haven't even started on the taxes yet. We always owe. Every time I think I get the deductions right they take away one more.
I missed everyone this weekend. I was only able to take a quick peek on Saturday. Hope everyone is having a good Monday.

Well, I just got back from the office and new building. Good thing I didn't send in a mole b/c a lot of things were screwed up and a mole wouldn't have known. Remember my dream? Well, call it more of a premonition. Found areas of the building being carpeted that weren't supposed to be carpeted (more $$) and learned that there is going to be an attempt to put another county department in there with us! THAT will never happen, as there isn't room. How strange is that, though? Too strange.

Got to bed late and up early. Then did too much while at the office -- add to that getting rather upset at the major screw-up re: carpet. I ended up an hour late getting my meds in me. Now I'm trying to wind down and can't seem to. Maybe I just need to go lay down.

Hope everyone's day is going well. I'm finally breaking out today and going to son's first baseball game of the year.I'm not sure if I'll survive the entire game...it's only 38 degrees today with high winds...brrrr..but it is sunny so maybe wearing sunglassess will make me feel warmer. Wish I could time the hot flashes to come at more appropriate times like when out in the cold!! Thanks to all your posts...they keep my spirits up!

Hey Sisters! I feel much better after my morning nap! After lunch I had a bowl of ice cream - normally a no-no for me because i believe I'm lactose intolerant. So, the reason for the ice cream - no stool softener in the house. Definitely got things going! I cannot believe we discuss bm's so often with complete strangers! You girls have sympathy, though!
I took the dog outside, picked up the mail abosorbed a few minutes of sunshine. Now, I'm going to attempt to do a load of dishes and fold two baskets of laundry before Reba comes on ! I think I'll have DH pick up some steaks to grill tonight. It's just gorgeous here!
Colls - Sorry that your nightmare is coming true! Yes, that's a strange thing! Good thing you went!
lls41 - Dress warm. We don't want you sick with a cold on top of recovery! Do you have a stadium seat/cushion you can set on ? Baseball game can be long event - call it quits when you feel the pain - or maybe take pain killer before you go to game.
Sydney - you're not the only procrastinator. We're filing taxes electronically today - we always owe, too. What hurts is that we didn't take into account that we would have to pay taxes while I am on medical leave. I only get paid 1/2 time I'm off.
Jen - I can't wait to be normal again either. I don't really think there is a "normal"...just routine!
Upon Wings - Good to hear from you again! Today is the first day I got up and put clothes on! I normally just hang out in my pjs until I take shower then I put on lounge pjs for the house. I've only put real clothes on when I went for a walk or to the dr. Total 4 trips out of the house in 3 weeks!
Just finished watching B&B and ATWT.
I'll check posts later today.

Jen, I would certainly guess your back is hurting from all the walking! Isn't it frustrating to overall feel good, and you fool yourself into thinking you can go back to life as usual. I made the same mistake today, decided to go through my 12yo dd's room which has been severely neglected over the past couple months with all my health issues. Packed away her winter clothes, eliminated things she has grown out of, filled boxes of stuff to give away to the poor. I was in there for a good 4.5 hours, then crashed and burned and slept from 4-6pm! Also having lots of nice sharp pains in my abdomen.... Maybe tomorrow I should take it easy....

Yes Deb it does sound like you need a day of R & R. I haven't done much today just a couple load of laundry. Not a hard chore. Still in my pjs at 7:00pm.

Colls,
Sounds like you could use a nice "rain" CD.

Gotta say my day was more laid back than yours. I had a good day! Mostly sat around and corrected lots of papers. Not many students showed up today. They're still telling their parents that we're not back from Spring Break.....they're Independent Study.
The meeting was boring as he-double hockey sticks. I'm going to ask petition for a couple of individual DVD players so the kids can watch an educational video, rather than try to wade through textbooks that are 5-6 years above their reading levels.
NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drum roll, please..................
I have something to celebrate, and no, I'm sorry it isn't a physical milestone. I just found out that I PASSED a huge 5-hour state board exam---that I took just one week before my surgery---I had a splitting headache the whole time. I was hoping to have passed just ONE of the three portins of the test. But I've passed ALL3!!!
For anyone who knows, it was the CSET. In CA we have to pass that at some point, to get a teacing credential----job security. It's a major stress reliever, for me.
We're having rootbeer floats, tonight.
