Idol Talk

OMG! Just finished watching American Idol. Jordin's performance gave me chills. I wanted to stand and clap for her right in my living room! Melinda knocked it out of the ballpark, too! There is nothing she can't sing! And my favorite Blake doing my favorite Tim McGraw - awesome! I love Rascal Flats, I don't care who is singing! Ki-Ki, she looked really good tonight, too! BUT SANJAYA HAS GOT TO GO! Even Phil out sang him tonight.

Emotionally, I'm feeling better tonight. However, new pain in right ovary - stabbing pain on occasion. I may have overdid it when I loaded/unloaded dishwasher. Bending over to get silverware off bottom drawer I felt a catch in my right side. I stopped doing the dishes then.

So, I have Tylenol PM, Sleepytime Tea and a turkey/cracker snack before I go to bed. I think I'll eat the turkey and take the tylenol pm around 9:30-10:00. How long does it take to hit you? Anybody know?

Hi everyone,

I had my TAH BSO on March 30th . I came home from the hospital on April 6.

I am in week 3 and I feel awful, blah, not in the mood to eat, watch tv, go on internet, nothing.
I have rested and walked around the house, havent done anything that would be considered strenuous.

I thought by now I would be feeling better. But I feel worse. Is this normal? I just feel blah.
I am not in pain, dont take pain meds anymore, just the Climara patch. My incision is healing nicely....a few twinges here and there but nothing painful.

When will I start to feel better? I just want to cry.
At this rate, I will never make it back to work in 3 weeks.

Help!

tchrlisa - I know what your are saying! I am at 3 week mark today. Pain, I feel better, still have twinges and aches here and there. Emotionally, the last few days I've been a train wreck! I think part of it is what you described, after three weeks you expect to feel better than what you do. My dr. said it is absolutely normal to have good days then bad days. As a matter of fact, the 3-4 week checkpoint indicates that you may feel like you are taking 2 steps forward, 3 steps back. So to answer your question, yes it's normal. At this point, I just want to sleep! I imagine I would feel better if I could sleep sometime between 10pm and 6am for six consecutive hours - that's "my dream"! Hang in there... I know it's frustrating. But as another Sister said, "this too shall pass".

I found ginger tea has helped tremendously with nausea. I have stomach issues and am nauseated alot anyway and found the ginger tea to be wonderful. I got it at my local grocery store, its made by Stash Tea and is actually a ginger lemon herb tea. Hope it works as well for you.

Idol fever... Of course Sanjaya has to go. But we both know that's not going to happen. Believe it or not, my favorite male performance was Phil. And I don't even like Phil. I think he found his niche! Jordin gave me chills too. My fav. female performance -- 2nd perhaps only to Melinda. She CAN sing anything. I'm kind of "over" Lakisha. Not sure why, I guess I feel like she's gonna get a record deal out of this anyway and she's not MY American Idol (Blake is). Chris did well with his Rascal Flatt's song - nasally and all. I like him lots too. He's a hometown boy for us. Very touching, his thoughts toward his friends at VT.

Who's ready for a DWTS spoiler? I won't tell it. But they're about to announce who's going home. My fingers are crossed that "the worst dancer in the competition" according to CarrieAnn and with a big amen from me goes home tonight...

Usually takes pm meds about 30-40 mins to hit me, Jay! Good night!

I've posted pics

Hi Everyone.

I upgraded my membership so I posted pics to the photo gallery, but they have to be approved first. You can probably see them tomorrow. I have one of me by myself, one with my DD and a picture of each of my two cats.

Enjoy.

TchrLisa - You are definitely in the right spot! Many of us have made the same comments to each other this week and the theories abound. I hurt more today than I did a week ago...or do I? Each day and week are different. I'm getting confused and can't trust my memory.

I think this seems to be a key time in our recovery. Make sure to keep in close touch with your doctor and continue to rest. I, too, wonder how I will go back to work. I had been telling myself next Monday, but now am a bit relieved to know it won't be for three more weeks.
