You will all be in my prayers tonight.
Godzgurl - PLEASE call the dr. in the a.m. and get that looked at. Tell them that you have the opening so they will fit you in and not give you an appointment next week. You don't want that opening to get infected. You will also probably need to be put on antibiotics. I know what I'm going through with my incision and it's probably not the same as yours because I had a lot of drainage and believe me you would know if yours was draining like mine was.

The nurses came up with a way of securing my bandages without having to remove the tape each and every time (twice a day) they change the bandages because I was getting sores with my delicate skin. For those of you who know, it's called Montgomery straps. It's also a good thing that my belly is still numb from the surgery so that I don't really feel all that they are doing there.

I like the Metamucil cinnamon flavor better than the apple flavor, but both aren't bad at all. Just like eating cookies.

Broke down and called my doc to ask for scrip refill (percocet). I'm waiting to hear back. I've got 3 or 4 left, so I'll be ok a day or 2.

I watched AI tonight just because Martina was on it. I have tickets to her concert here Fri and I really want to go, but don't know if I will feel up to it. That is my 3 week point.

I was upset with Simon (who isn't) when he rolled his eyes after Chris said how his prayers were with the families of VA Tech. That was totally unnecessary on Simon's part!

Colls, can your dr. call in a script for percocet to your pharmacy? Here in CT we have to go pick up the script because of it being a "controlled drug". I am rationing my meds until I see the PA on Thurs. because I have no way of getting the script picked up at the dr's office and I want it them to last that long. So far so good on the rationing, but I hope I didn't just jinx myself.

I should be going to bed because the nurse comes early in the a.m. and I want to take a shower first. I can't believe the amount of people I have shown my belly to! Believe it or not, I do still have my modesty!

The rejected dancer from DWTS is on Jimmy Kimmel and I want to see the interview. See you tomorrow.

hey fellow sisters..first time posting..

had my LSH 3 weeks ago and thought I was doing well enough to return to work yesterday. HA! What was I thinking? I made it a few hours then went home. Same today, but ended up feeling worse off than I did yesterday.

So, needless to say I will not be returning to work. I'm glad I found this place, knowing others just went through this too. There are so many things going on I can't find the words. It's not just the physical pain/discomfort but I'm just not the same emotionally. I'm sure things will even out once my body gets used to the new cream I'm on, but it's just weird, you know?

Am I making sense? I know I'm still the same person but yet I don't feel like it. And once again, why did I try going back to work so soon?

Thanks for letting me vent..

Good morning, Sisters! And I do mean Good morning! I managed to get 5 consecutive hours of sleep last night! Here's what I did: I drank a cup of Sleepytime tea, ate a turkey/cracker snack and took Tylenol PM at 10:00pm. The last time I looked at the clock is was 11:10pm. I woke up at 4:30 to empty bladder. I am so excited I got 5 hours of sleep! No pain this morning, just discomfort around my incision. I hope the other 3 week Sisters have a better day today. I said a special prayer last night for all of us.
