Still leaking after hysterectomy

Hello ladies

I hope you will be able to help me. I had my hysterectomy in June last year and i am still leaking urine. I have had a bladder and kidney scan, which was ok. I had a cystogram yesterday and i could see that there were no leaks so where is this leak coming from? It doesn't happen when i cough, sneeze, laugh etc it happens any old time, when i'm sitting eating dinner or in bed! I really don't understand why this is still happening. It's not lots, about a teaspoon a day, but it's really bothering me because it smells horrible and i
didn't have it before my hyst. Can anyone help me? Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks all

Rosemary

Still leaking after hysterectomy

Have you asked this in the "Bladder Matters" forum? Maybe somebody there can help you further. I had this problem about 5 weeks after the hyst. It wasn't stress incontinence. Mine was severe for about 4 days, lust leaking (actually pouring) out if me but then it stopped when I began taking some antibiotics because they thought it might be a UTI. My results came back with no UTI present, but just the same, after the antibiotics this leak stopped. I have had two (tested) UTI's since, but no leaks. I can't imagine that yours would be any kind of peritoneal fluid leaking this far out of surgery? Good Luck to you!

Rosemary,
I also agree that this far out of surgery you should not be having any leakage. I would find a good urologist and have them diagnose the problem. Good luck!
