anyone else moody?

I was feeling the same way. I dont know if you still have your ovaries or not. But I did keep my. I finally called my dr and told them that I was losing my mind. I went in and found out I was having panic attack. Which I have never had before. I also through some blood work I found out Im not producing enough estrogen. Im on Vivelle patch and Wellbutrin. I had a up the patch once but now I am felling a lot better. There are time when I feel myself about to lose it and I go for a walk or take a hot shower. I would call your dr and talk with him.

anyone else moody?

Hi
I was on HRT for the hot flushes, the night sweat etc. but could not handle the mood swings. Spent an entire summer sitting on the deck and looking off into space. Went to see my doctor who prescribed Effexor which has a side effect of abating the hot flushes. took a while to work but it made a big difference. I did not want to be on the HRT for too long so when I went off I found the worst symptoms of night sweat etc had abated and I was fine with out them. I am still on the Effexor which I planned to get off but then this hysterectomy came up so I have decided to wait until I am more likely to be successful. I went through the worst menopause symptoms for two and half years before the hysterectomy so perhaps thats why I was able to quite the HRT. I just know the Effexor made me function again and by the way I dont stare off into space anymore. Good luck with all

anyone else moody?

Hi! I had a TAH/BSO and am on the Vivelle Dot .075. I rarely experience any hot flashes, but I also am getting very agitated and mean. My moods turn on and off and my four kids and husband are unfortunately the subject of this. I, too, would like to know if any one has any "cures" for this problem.

I have not dealt with this post-op, but most definately did pre-op. In fact, it's what lead me to my doctor in the first place.

I told her that she had to help with the crazy lady that lived at my house.

She put me on an antidepressant, even tho neither of us suspected that I was depressed.

I felt better after one day! I know they say you won't actually feel results for some time, but I did, *cross my heart*!

I know if I was bad before my hyster, I would have been impossible after, without this little "magic pill"!!

Hi. I am only 8 weeks post op and I am only dealing with moodiness from PMS. I kept my ovaries. Talk to your dr, maybe you need to get your hormone levels checked and possibly your thyroid.

anyone else moody?

Boy Sister you are NOT alone!! I am only 6 weeks out and I can't seem to get off the edge. I too feel bad because I have 2 little ones and seem to not have any patience. All it takes is one smart remark by dh or cheerios all over the floor that I just swept and AAAHHHHHHH I want to yell, cry or just pull my hair!!! (By the way, I know I shouldnt be sweeping, but I dont have a choice.) Anyways, I have my right ovary, and I too suffered from severe PMS before surgery and have experiened some PMS since. Dr. had me on Paxil, took me off after surgery to see how I would do. Well, I will have to tell him I have a LOT of fatigue and see what happens. I go to see him on Friday. Physically I feel good, I'm getting my energy back. Some good days and some bad.

So I just wanted to let you know that I feel you and that you are not alone, and just by writing this, I actually feel a bit better. So you take care and continue to pamper the princess!!!!

I was having really bad mood swings after surgery I was snapping at everybody and then bursting in tears because I had no control oner my emotions. My dr put me on Effexor and I have felt great ever since. It is an antidepressant and anti anxiety drug in one. I wish I had not waited so long to discuss this with my dr I was 5 weeks out before I started taking it. It also helped with the night sweats and other menopausal symptoms I was having.
