Thumbs up - general tso's veggie chickn general tso's veggie "chickn"

this is my all time FAVORITE vegetarian dish and SO easy to make...everyone always loves it...even meat eaters!!

package frozen breaded veggie chickn' nuggets or chickn' strips
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Vegetable oil for frying
4 chopped green onions
1 tablespoon chopped ginger (you can use the kind in the spice isle if you don't have fresh)
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
2/3 cup vegetable broth/stock
2 tablespoon s soy sauce
4 tablespoon s sugar
Red pepper flakes ( to taste)
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
Steamed broccoli

(i always double the sauce so there's plenty...but it's up to you.)

Bake the fake chickn' nuggets or strips as directed or a little longer so they're extra crisp. cut into bite sized pieces and set aside.

Heat 3 tablespoons vegetable oil in pan on medium heat. Add green onions, ginger and garlic, cook for about 2 minutes. Be careful not to burn garlic. Add vegetable stock, soy sauce, sugar, red pepper and vinegar. Mix 2 tablespoons water with 1 tablespoon cornstarch and pour into mixture stirring well. Add veggie chickn' and steamed broccoli florettes and stir to coat.

i like to have a side of steamed rice with this....yum yum!!
