Oh, how I long to sleep on my side! Feeling much the same as everyone else. Bored mostly. I guess I shouldn't complain, but I really thought I would be doing more at the 3 week mark. My house is such a mess right now and the garden full of weeds! The family has been great, but there are things I would like to be doing myself. I find myself eating too much (out of boredom) and starting to gain weight. Oh well, that's enough negative talk. I really do appreciate this site - my link to the outside world! I promise to be more positive next time I post...

Maybe I better call my doctor.

I dont see Dr again until 6/4. He said to call asap if anything........ but I havent had to. It seems so far out of the "normal" Its great dont get me wrong... I just hope that it stays this way - should I expect problems???. He did say - no work until 6/18 because of the type of work I do. I always thought I would love to have time off and not have to worry about work.It is boring but it is getting better as I can do more. I'm not taking any pills - except for the occasional pain pill if I walk too much and multi vitamin. It seems like everyone is taking "something".

Hello sisters:

Yes, I thought for sure week three would also be a turnaround. However, if compared to week 2, I guess it is. My horrible morning BM pains are down to short little episodes now, so improvement. My husband had to travel out of town, so my daughter came to stay with me a few days. She is an officer in the Coast Guard and a fun soul to have a girls weekend with. We have found that Mango Margaritas and last night’s Mohitos with fresh mint leaves and lime settle down the digestive tract (gas) and improve your outlook

Hello Moulton,
I talked to my doctor and he said it is normal to have pain behind the belly button. He said it is the normal part of healing. I had my post-op appointment last week and everything was fine. The pain is more bothersome than anything. I still have to be careful how I get out of bed. He also said the pain in the abdomen is because of everything that was pushed and moved around during surgery. Good luck with your recovery.

Kathim,
Boy you're not lying it sure does seem hot there. Here in Dayton I just wish the temp. would stay constant. One day it is around 80, a few days later it is in the 50's. I think one night it even got down to the 40's. Anyways it should warm up in the next few days. Nothing like what you are experiencing though.

It's cold here in Massachusetts too - 47 this morning. It's been raining for the last few days, and the gray cold weather just makes me feel gray inside. We're supposed to get sun by Monday. Laying around would be so much nicer if I could do it on the deck by the pool with a tall glass of iced tea and a good book. I just read Marley and Me by John Grogan.~A humorous light read. Does anyone have any other good book suggestions?

Another"Kathi "update

Hi.........Bladder issues still

I am 3 weeks post op from TAH/BSO vertical incision on 4-26......I am healing nicely and recovery seemed ok but I had what I call bladder pressure and was told it is post op normal feeling. Then I started getting uretha stabs and prickly feeling. Went for urine test and it came back neg but culture came back pos so Dr put me on levaquin and prydium(pee-orange pills) and 1 pill of diflucan. I started all this Wed eve....instead of getting better I feel it is getting a bit worse.
I see the gyn on this MOn but am just wondering if this uretha and bladder feeling is in fact post op normal. I am going to bathroom every 2 hours still.
I had very bad fibroids and now that the uterus is gone I am worried maybe the bladder does not like it's new spot in threre alone???? Crazy thought I know !!!!!
I have posted similar posts previous but am hoping maybe someone might shed some hope and light on my situation. I find myself sitting here worrying and NOW CRYING which is NOT like me !!!!!
Of course maybe the levaquin is not the right pill either and maybe she /Dr will change that on MOnday ??? I have read where Cipro is the drug of choice.

Advice please !!!!! Maybe I am being to anxious and expecting too much too soon????

Thanks for any replies

Kathi

Helti, your dancing banana made me laugh!! Newfound, Im glad they found that spot and you are free of cancer! It's weird how "things" happen to you! I was a girl that had absoluteley no female troubles, even delivering my babies on their exact due dates until the last couple of mos.! ANYONE OUT THERE FEELING LIKE THEY HAVE TO PEE ALOT? I do not have any other symptoms!!???? Is it from the surgery?
