Pat:

Great news for you! Just ease back into everything. I had a girlfriend that had a cervical cyst also and as you mentioned, she had "most" of her cervix removed. She was told it is a self generating organ, and would grow back if heathy tissue remained. Facinating! Happy forth to you also.

(((Kath)))
I would like to clarify your statement about the cervix. I don't know where your friend got her information about the cervix regrowing, but I think she got some wrong information. After a hyst or a LEEP the area will heal, but not regrow. She may have misunderstood her dr.
Here is one link that verifies this information. http://health.ivillage.com/gyno/gyno...,,6c5x,00.html
I just wouldn't want anyone having false hopes or panicing thinking a problem might reoccur.

Rita:

Great article and I passed this to my friend. The "self generating" description was that of her surgeon . Her procedure was as a result of HPV..so this article was spot on. Thank you.

Kath,

Did your doctor mention any additional restrictions beyond the normal 6 weeks due to your bladder sling. I am 8+ weeks post op and start back to normal activity, but had a mishap today when I tried riding my friends horse and he spooked causing me to use maximum pulling effort to control him. I am now feeling some pain and I am mad at myself for taking the risk. At least I did not fall off!

Bummer Pat

I hope you're feeling better today. At this point I'm never quite sure, in my case, if some of the pain when I overdo is from muscles that have been pampered for so long that they're aching from being used, or if it's a soreness because they're not ready to be used. In any case, take it easy today and hopefully all is well. Take care.

Hi everyone,
Seems like we don't chat as much as before on this new site. Happy fourth of July to everyone. My community is busy planning a big celebration for later this month when or soldiers come back from being deployed for 18 mos. to Iraq. I have a cousin and my neices boyfriend coming home if all goes well in the next 2 wks! They have seen 2 in their group give their lives and 1 guy lose a leg for our country! So hope everyone has a good time on america's b-day!
I am still getting tired each day, is anyone else? I take a nap whenever I am not working!
Take it easy and all be well!

Hi TeTe and all!

I'm still getting tired too. When I spend a morning stripping beds, doing floors, and dusting, I'm ready for a nap after lunch. It's getting better, but still something I have the time to give in to right now, so I do. I'm sure the hormone adjustment has a lot to do with our fluctuation in energy levels.

TeTe, thank you to your family and friends for their service to our country. It's such a tremendous sacrifice. I have several friends with sons and daughters serving in Iraq and know what an amazing courageous thing these men and women are doing for us.

Happy 4th of July to everyone. Enjoy your families and a day of peace.
