I don't know about the pain, I have had 4 c sections and the TAH and had all sorts of wierd pains on each. They have come and gone..is it continuing now? If so you may want to call your doctor in the ?? Morning????!!!

It is only 6:25 pm here in the eastern US, I would guessyou might be up late, hope not due to pain!

Friends,
Just wondering about hormone therapy. What seems to be working? Pill? Patch? What kind? I have not started anything yet and was wandering what others are using?

By the way, is anyone else tiring out at the end of the day?

Thank you ladies!

Thank you for your encouragement and advice. I will talk to my doctor about the pain. I must have had delusions of grandeur - the superwoman thing - because I am so down that I cannot go back to work full time yet.

Hopefuldaybyday, since my surgery 5/3/07 (ovaries removed) I chose to use soy estrogen and wild yam progesterone. I did some research and also discussed with my DR re: this decision and my DR was fine with it. For me, it is working fine. I am 40 years old, haven't had any hot flashes or night sweats that I am aware of. Best wishes to you!

Hello fellow princesses! I had a TAH BSO on May 4, slept 2 nights at the castle and came home to have my sister stay with me for a week. Between her and my DH I was very well cared for. Had a bm 2 days later (ouch!) and have found that stool softeners can be your best friend. Those and prunes and oatmeal. I find that each day I feel just a little bit stronger. One day I can't bend over to get something from a drawer, the next I can do it with care. I'm not rushing my recovery because I want to get through this as quickly as possible and by 59 years old I've learned these things get done on their own time. So, all of you who are itching to get back to exercising or who want to prove how much you can do at this stage please don't. Now if anyone can tell me how to ignore the itch of hair regrowth and left over Steristrips I'd be grateful! Good luck to everyone in their recovery. This is a good time to be spoiled.

Almost 4 wks post op - only one dr visit until week 8??

Had my two week post op two weeks after surgery but my next one isn't until June 26 - week eight! I'm reading a lot of you are having check ups in week three or four... is this instead of week two or should I be going in every week or every other week? Now I'm worried because this is a pretty big gap between appointments.

I still get wiped out easily so will lay in bed a few hours on those days. I'm still spotting, but I'm finding it's usually a yellowish color and a lot of times it's when my bladder is full or I'm laughing (while holding between my belly button and pelvic area LOL) Once in a blue moon it'll be light pink. Bowel movements *were* ok, then got tricky again so I got the generic Colace and it did a number on my stomach and I'm hoping I didn't pop any stitches. I get sharp pains from time to time that make me re situate myself - or gasp. ;-( All in all I think I'm doing ok tho. :-)

Hello From The Uk

HI lADIES

I am 4 weeks post & after reading some of your messages
i am worried that i don't seem to be doing as well as i should be

I am suffering from horrible period like cramps & if i have been sitting for a while & then i start to try & walk around i feel like i am carrying a ton of bricks in my stomach. I can
only walk a short distance & i have had enough.

I see some of you are managing to walk a mile or so,
i would have more chance of winning the lottery than
being able to do this.

Perhaps i am expecting too much too soon, it's just that
i am concerned that i don't seem to be improving at all

That has happened to me a few times too, even tho I had an LAVH and I ended up taking the last of my percecet. I don't know if it's normal or maybe just means getting "backed up" and needing a little help or what, but it made me go back to bed those days. Some days my right area down there, including my leg joint & hip start throbbing too. :-(

We'll get thru this. (((hugs)))
