hannalib, I, too work for the library and had TAH (kept ovaries) last April 30. Was just wondering what kind of work do you do for the library. Are doing full time or just part time?

Good morning! Almost 5 weeks po. Doing pretty good. I don't know if and when my bladder wil be the same. Have little pains with it when I least expect it. Went to the movie with friends yesterday and then we went shopping. I really enjoyed it, but was very tired when I got home. Thats so werid. I still can't believe how really tired I get doing the same things I did pre-op that didn't bother me. Oh well, I know it will get better. 6 week check up next week. Hoping for a good report. My anniversary is own the 17th and I am hoping for some fun. I bought some new clothes and shoes just for the occasion, so if my check up is good my DH better watch out. Ha! Ha!. Ladies, Have a great day.

Glad to hear everyone is doing much better. I had a break through yesterday and wanted to share it. Dr released me to full everything on the 31st and yesterday I felt well brave enough to attempt the treadmill. Well, it went amazingly good. Jogged at 4.5 mph with absolutely no pain or discomfort. Only lasted 20 min but it was the best thing for my morale! I was whipped and went to bed earlier than I normally do. Better news, Im not feeling poorly today.

So, off with that swelly belly I say!

Good luck, sisters!

How exciting to jog on the treadmill!!! I am glad it went well. I have ben walking outside 5 miles yesterday, 4 today and want to try to run. My doctor told me to hold out until 6 weeks which will be Monday. I also return to work that day so am not sure if the exergy will be there after work to run. My only issue is not sleeping as well as I use to. I think it is because my exercise level is not there. I too tire easier than before surgery. Everyday is better....

Wow, Hope for the rest of rest of us. I pushed myself Sunday , Monday and Tuesday, ( more chores and driving) felt really good and surprizingly wasn't over tired until last night. Today a little slugglsh and feeling like I SHOULD go back to work. Dr. won't even hear of it until I see him on the 19th.
I am meeting the gals in my unit next week for breakfast . REALLY looking forward to that.
I am not quite ready for jogging yet , scaredy Cat..hope to be there soon.
I agree though to "Off with the swelly belly!"

That is great news that you were feeling good after the treadmill! I've been wondering if going to the gym now would be a good thing or should I just keep walking in the neighborhood?? I've opted to stay closer to home. You've given me much HOPE Sassy!! People look at me funny when I talk about my "swelly belly"....guess you have to be a Princess to understand!
Keep up the good work everyone!

Good afternoon sisters
It is so wonderful to see everyones spirits so high! What a road we have all travelled. I am getting so anxious for my six week check up, I can not wait to resume a "NORMAL" life! I think this experience has taught me that I need to work on patience and that slowing down is ok every once and a while. I am five weeks post op on Friday I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Today is 5 weeks. I had my second post-op appt this afternoon. Dr. said I am still healing inside so that is why I am still spotting. No sex for another two weeks. I almost asked if I could get that in writing for my DH HaHa..

She said I can start golfing again, which I am excited about! I am still very tired but I am really starting to feel like myself again.

Hey Cat...how great that you get to hit the links! I have been to the course but not playing - kinda like putting a box of Godiva chocolate in front of me! It was nice of you to share about your spotting still happening - I am having the same symptoms - some days are better than others so I'll be interested to see what my doc says in another couple weeks. I'm thinking I might wait to start back to work until after my 8 week check up?? Decisions decisions!

Wishing you a perfectly up to Par day on the links!!

By the way, when I asked my Dr if there was anything I could do to help mitigate the swelly belly, she looked and told me it was fat! When I tried to argue, she reminded me she was the one who did the surgery..... I'll still disagree but concede there is some swelling.

Off with the fat!
