Hey Gals! Post-op 6 days now from TAH and some work to pelvic floor to help my bladder. I've not taken very much pain medicine since day 1. Doing pretty good, just have hemmoroid problems which make BM's terrible. Getting pretty bored, but I know better than to over do. I really appreciate all you support.

Hello Girls,
Finally a BM yesterday afternoon...funny how we get excited about those. Dr. gave me Ambien for sleep.. worked well last night. SLightly hormonal, put the HRT patch on almost 2 days ago only a few minor flashes.. some tears about hurt feeling, stipid stuff.. realize right away what it is and all is better. getting around GREAT, I went to my chiropractor this morning and had acupuncture to get rid of the anesthia left overs. Every day truly gets better. Peace and clamness to everyone.

well, Im feeling so much better after finally having a bm 6 days post surgery. I cant believe how much that alone was affecting my recovery. I'll say that day was by far my worst and am glad to have it behind me (pun intended). I have no stairs, thank goodness (REI stairs were ok one at a time), to manage every day.

Feel well my sisters!

Hello, Princessess!! Day 6 post op for me. It sounds like everyone is doing pretty well. I am so glad for all! As far as moods go, I cry easily, my ovaries removed, but am on natural hormone replacement therapy and also on the pity pot, but will get off it soon. I know I will!! I am so glad that I can come here and read about other Princesses' healing and journeys and love the support that I get. Insomnia has not been too much of an issue as the pain meds I take are fortunately at a good time that the last one is right before I go to bed, so that helps. I do, though have the strangest dreams. Crazy, weird stuff! I just laugh and try to enjoy the time at home. First actual "vacation in 8 years" and I intend to pamper and enjoy myself, (when not in pain, mind you) as much as possible. I pray for all of us and wish warm loving healing to you all! Poohtie.

Feel like belly is filled with bowling balls

chyobabs
I'm 6 day post op as well. I have not taken any pain meds since I was at the hospital, as they were bothering my sleep and my heart. I don't know about anyone else, but they removed a softball size fibroid and it feels like they put in 5- 20 pound bowling balls. I have been dealing with the pain but gravity has not been kind to me as I still wear a belly brace (thank god for it) to hold it all in. I still walk bent over holding my belly, sometimes worse than other times, and my back is paying for it. I don't know if this is normal or not, but I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this. I suppose everyone is different...hang in there ladies...it has to get better...
Hugs

Hi ladies, glad to see everyone is doing well. My surgery was may 1st and Iwas released on the 5/2. My biggest problem was the meds. I'm very sensitve to narcs. They make me so sick!!! I didn't sleep the night in the hosp either, between the compression devices on my legs inflating and deflating and the epidural pump going all night I just couldn't sleep. Doing well at home DH trying very hard to be helpfull. Walking around pretty well. Taking minimal meds today. Big problem with first BM. So much pain and cramping, I really wasn't ready for that. doing better each day. I was teasing my son, his b-day is 5/5, i told him I was in the same condition 24 yrs ago but his c section was alittle easier. Wishing everyone a speedy rrecovery.

Mary Ann, I too had the worst time with the bm...I still dread them. I will say, and I hope the same for everyone, they get easier as time goes. I feel like the doc put an extra stitch in the right side of my surgical area cuz its pretty painful; hurt like heck when I try to lift my leg. Hope that goes away soon.

How much is everyone walking?
