I'm pretty proud of all of us too!! We ROCK!!!!!!

Potter-yeppers that's the Bass Pro I was thinking of. I haven't been there since the place was first built. DANG that was a lifetime ago. Of course I haven't been "home" to Missouri in 4+ years either maybe even 5. Glad you had a good time AND that you ahd the common sense to get a wheelchair when you got tired. No need to over do.

Nothing too big here today. Did a couple of pages for hubbies scrapbook-the first layouts I have done in 8 months so that was IMMENSELY enjoyable. Then hubby and I went to Home Depot and a nursery for a couple of things. Got home and watched hubby "weed" a flowerbed and transplant a big hosta. This was the kind of weeding I dare not do, you had to use a shovel they were so rooted. Not quite ready for shovels yet. Hubby threw out his back so tomorrow the teenager and I will be out there. I will be supervising while HE does the rest of the transplanting. Over all a GREAT day. Not even tired from yesterday. Could I be totally mended? If so, SHHHHH dont tell hubby

I agree ladies.......I think we are all doing very well. I am very proud of all of us. I love knowing that if I have a question or I am having a bad day I can come here and you guys know exactly where I am coming from. Nothing really eventful here either. I went to the grocery store today by myself.....(not too bright) I have paid for it this afternoon. But that is ok. I learned from it that is for sure. I am going back to work on Monday. Kind of looking forward to it but afraid that I will feel like I have been run over by the end of the day even though I am only working part time. I have really tried not to do to much while I have been at home.

I hope you all have had a great weekend! My daughter is having her dance recital tomorrow so I will get a little entertainment.

Doc Cleared Me to Work Next Week

I'm excited to get back to work. While I know that it won't be easy, I feel like my mind needs to be stimulated.

Magiclady-I had bruises on the top of all 3 laproscopy stitch lines, so I think that's absolutely normal. I would think if your job was very physical, the doc would not release you to go back for at least 6 weeks. My doc let me tell him when I was ready. Don't push yourself-I'm sorry you're feeling so lousy! Hope you get better soon!

I still spot some after 3 and a half weeks. It is mostly when I have a BM. I think it is normal, but I would ask the doctor to be sure. It seems stange to me to have anything come out after having a hysterectomy....does anyone know why that happens?

The dr explained to me that the stitches on the outside of the body are held in a sturdy (not his words) situation, where as those inside heal later because the material is more gelatinous and therefore doesn't hold stitches as well, and may have a lttle bleeding from time to time.

I have a little at every trip to the bathroom.

Welcome those who have not posted before. My bloatain ws terrible before surgery adn has not changed. For those with gas, walking is the best thing, if you can do it.

Don't go back before your body is ready, magic. and about the bloating, I can't wear anything normal, either. My surgery was 5/8.

I sit on the couch and quilt or am online. I walk the length of the house;once a day or twice a day I go out onto the deck and down the stairs into the lawn. Sometimes I walk a little. I still don't do laundry or dishes or anything else for that matter. I tried driving once and then was grounded.

I take no pain meds. I seem to be allergic to just about everything. Riding in a car is getting better, but it tires me out terribly.

I cannot walk far, but that may be the PD, but I try to walk every half hour or so just a bit.

LAVH with removal of one ovary 5/8
