I get sore at the end of the day, too, and I think it's because I'm in the same position a lot. It's hard to do this--I can't do a whole lot b/c I get tired, but at the same time I don't want to be sitting around all day. I guess it goes with the territory.

OK, I have to say this not working thing is pretty cool. I've been feeling vaguely guilty b/c I'm staying up late (till midnight, which is really late for me) and sleeping in while DH gets up at 4:30 am to go to work. Well, last night I was feeling sorry for myself so I had a mini-marathon of Scrubs. It was nice, I could stay up however late I wanted and not worry about it!

Thanks cookmac2 I do set at the computer and surf and check in at the hysters site and yea sitting up on a hard chair does do more with the pain, reclining does help. I did do alot of walkin yesterday to the post office and then we went grocery shopping last night, I walked by the end very very slooowly.
DH doesn't understand totally but he has been real good. You know there are people that have not went through this or do not know anyone that has, and they think I should be "all better" by now. That gets frusterating thats why it is so great to have this site.
It helps to know we are not alone in what and how we are feeling thatnk GOD for this site!!!

I envy those who were smart enough to stay out of work until they are all healed. I returned to work full-time this week and it is hard. People expect you to be 100% or more...surely you are rested by now! In the corporate world surrounded by men, I can't show my problems. I had a whooper of a hotflash yesterday sitting next to my boss and he turns to me and asks me my opinion on something. I wanted to say, "it is hot in here!".

Oh well of to another fun day. Luckily I am not moody (yet) because if I would it would not be pretty...

Did you see Oprah yesterday? I Tivo it. It was hilarious!

Have a great day! Get some rest for me!

Hi,

It is great to know that there are other women going through this. It will be three months since my hysterectomy and I am going through all the symtoms of menopause again. Mind you, I went through this already and don't like having to do it again. I need help. The exhaustion is what gets me. I am fine doing everything I did before surgery and then I am wiped out and one minute I am happy and the next I am hysterical.

Hi Potter, don't feel guilty! I do the same thing. Only DH has to get up at 4AM and I was watching ER reruns :-)! I could really get use to this part of the recovery!

Hi there!
It must be cramp time for some of us. I had that tight crampy feeling all day yeaterday. The weather was really el'yucko anyway so it didn't make me feel any better. I feel like a puff ball. I'm going to see my OB tomorrow for my 5 week check-up so I'll ask her about a few things. Well at least my garden got a good soaking. I planted some butterfly and wild flower seeds in there so I'm waiting to see what developes. It's getting very green and there was a very pretty yellow butterfly floating around in there today so maybe it's going to work. We'll see!

I had my 4-week post-op today, and the doctor gave me the okay to go back to work June 21. She says I can go back full-time, but I'll see how I do. It will be 6 weeks since my surgery, so I should be okay. It's summer, so there aren't as many people around.

Still tired some, and sore when I over do it, but otherwise I'm feeling much better. The BM pain is over and that is such a relief! It's weird though, I've been having some PMS symptoms this past week, but they haven't been bad at all. The only one that's getting to me though is the PMS insomnia, but that's easing up too. I've been staying up late watching TV some nights too, but want to try to get back into work mode so I'm ready in two weeks!

Hope all you other sisters are doing well!

Candy

I didn't think I overdid it but I guess I did. I received a call from the Bone Marrow Donation Registry telling me that I'm a possible match. Very exciting but not a great time. So Wednesday I went to the local blood center and gave 9 vials of blood (small but still...!) They'll know more in a couple of months. The next day I did a bunch of errands and I was up and around all day and then went to bible study at night. I didn't get home until 10:00 p.m. I couldn't sit comfortably so going to a movie or church is definitely out of the question now. I've been paying for it since Friday. I have pain in my right side and I've been miserable. So that just adds to my crankiness. DH is supportive but after week 3 friends and family think everything is fine and the dinners, visits and phone calls just stop. It's all on him now. I really don't have the patience for the next couple of weeks. I guess the only consolation I have is that my period would have been due next week and we know that's not happening! That's the best part. Well, thanks for letting me vent. Let me know if anyone else is having trouble around this time.

Stay well everyone.

I am having same 3 week problem... pain on both sides really low. Getting a bit bummed out and lonely... family/friends have been great... but miss the normal things in life. Went to kids' preformance at school for an hour today... wouldn't have missed it, but wiped out now. Friend came over to cook dinner... that tired me out because I sat up and talked with her the whole time. I think we just need to pretend we're in week 1 and lay low.

Yeah, this is the fun part! Another couple of weeks and I'll be up at 6:30 and re-join the working world. I'd better enjoy it while I can!
