Okay, i have the dr's papers. I have 8 weeks off & my dr's appt is on my 8 wk mark. Now for the big question, do I wait for an examine for sex & swimming or just go ahead after my 6 wk mark???

yeah, as the day goes on and no phone call from the dr., I am figuring that I am not going to get a call or it will be a "no way, jose!" well, I guess I will take some "simply sleepy" and go off to "LA LA land" and maybe I will have one of those great dreams that I have been reading about on some of these different threads!!! When is your 6wk appt??

Hi everyone! I had been doing very well in recovery, but the past couple days have been feeling run down and sort of boggy. Today the dreaded gas hurt badly as it passed every stitch location; and while previously in great spirits; today it all turned to rattling sobbing. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be concerned for such a drastic change in just one day? This isn't like me. I'm trying not to be paranoid, as it seems a little like PMS...only strangely intensified, and I guess it could be as I've kept both ovaries, but my schedule was so off for so long I have no idea when it would be and when I'll be "missing" it.

From what I gather it is normal, especially if you had your ovaries removed. That being said, it doesn't make it any easier and my thoughts and love are with you.

Hi - My surgery was two days before yours and I have had those days too. Usually it's because I'm overtired or I want to be doing so much more and can't. This recovery is frustrating because it really does take 6 weeks especially if you've had a TAH. It could be a bit of PMS too since you do have your ovaries. Make sure you're getting enough rest and eating right and see what happens. I'm feeling a lot better now that I've hit week 5. I'm getting sick of it though. I just want to be back to normal (Whatever that is!)

Hi All, I know we have discussed this one before, but I am still having pink discharge. On some days it is quite a bit. I figured by 5 weeks this would be over. I also have the pain at the end of urinating. I have no 6 week or 8 week checkup because my surgery was done by an ocologist and when I did not have cancer he told me to get another doctor. He was nice and saw me 2 weeks post op, but that was it. He said go back to normal after 6 weeks. Soon I am going to schedule for a check up with a gynochologist that specializes in hormones, but I am back to work fulltime and I haven't found time.

My big question - Is anyone else still spotting? Is this normal?

Thanks to all of you, it really helps to know you are not alone.

Hey BrighterDays, I have never kept track of my cycle...terrible, I know. I had a LEEP procedure done in Feb that threw me way off. Anyway, I had my TAH on 5/7 and this last weekend, I had all the PMS symptoms and I only kept 1 ovary. Glad not to have bled but the migraine and irratibility was not needed. I hope you feel better soon!
