A little celebration of sorts

I was upstairs yesterday straightening up as much as possible. I know that men have good intentions but they just don't seem to get the little things as well as a woman...LOL
Rearranging the hall closet (a strange obsession that I have) I came across the "monthly supplies". I decided at that point to have a little celebration of sorts.
I went through the collection of gift bags that I have. Yes, I am of those people that save gift and "regift" bags. I found the prettiest one I had and loaded it up! Even took the time to put some ribbon on the handles.
This may sound stange but my celebration brought tears to my eyes. Was it the finalization of it all? I am not sure. Anyone else do anything similiar? How did you feel about it?

Yes, it can bring on such emotions, after all it has been a big part of us being a woman.

Hang in there, it will get better with time, and you will soon feel good not to have to be having to deal with it any longer.

Best wishes to you.

A little celebration of sorts

I gave all my extra supplies to my sister, never thought of putting them in a pretty bag with a ribbon...that is a great idea!

I think because a hysterectomy is so emotional..we all deal with it in different ways and I think some of us sisters actually go thru a grieving process.

I threw all my ugly period panties into the fire. I laughed and almost got teary eyed. I guess it was a bittersweet moment.

Well I didn't get a chance to have a nice ceremony or emotional thoughts or anything... as soon as I got home DH threw them all away and did a happy dance!

I think its save to say he is just as excited about this as me!
