Hi everyone, I am still doing okay 9th day postop just feeling like there is sandpaper rubbing on my belly where my incision is even with supportive cotton underpants on and with nothing but a nightgown on, too. I am also starting to get a bit grouchy due to not being able to do the things I want to do and just not feeling very good every day when I wake up....Trying to keep a positive outlook just really hard with a moody 14 year old daughter in the house!

Hi All,

12 days since surgery. . . I had my first real outing today, did a little shopping and lunch. It was great to get out, but, it did require a nap as soon as I got home.

Didn't really have many issues, though on the ride home I felt like there was a cactus in my vagina. yikes. Maybe it's just the stitches continuing to heal?!

Anyway, I have my first post-op appt tues a.m. and I am eager to meet with my gynecologist. I have had so many
complications that I'm not sure which "thing" (hyster/ bladder infection/penumonia) is causing me the most problems. Mostly, I am still really fatigued. And, still restless. . . blah-blah-blah.

The weather is beautiful, it's a holiday and I want to have some fun! Wow, I sound whinier than I have any reason to be! I'm gonna stop now.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. . .

ARRRGH! Well blow me down, ladies. I'm supposed to go see Pirates 3 w/the boys and DH this a.m. and wouldn't you know it I just woke up w/a night sweat! Yup, a hum-dinger. Wet legs, torso, neck, hairline. Looks like I'll be home trying to catch some more sleep while they're at the movies.

I was hoping to avoid this little nuisance since I had it bad a few years ago in peri-menopause. Can't take HRT since I had a brain aneurysm in 1995 so I'm stuck w/it. Between trying to climb back into a damp bed and DH's snoring looks like I'm going to be spending many a night on the couch.

Gas is still the worst of my pain. Even after a BM I still have it. Some times its worse than others. I especially hate it when it hits when I'm out walking and then I either have to walk through the cramping or stop and wait for it to abate. I wish I didn't need the nutrition for healing right now or I'd go on a clear liquid diet to see if it helps. (Without the Phospho Soda although those memories are still fresh in my mind.) No Jerry Springer dreams either so I'm making progress. Lately they've been about ex-husbands and extremely bad sex!

Gonna be a good girl and have DH put the flag out for Memorial Day. Have a nice weekend ladies. Any parade watching or BBQ's planned?

Donna, do a search on apple cider on here. I remember reading on one forum that alot of women who weren't or couldn't do the HRT thing were having amazing results with it.

Do you mean apple cider or apple cider vinegar? I've heard the latter is good for many ailments. Will check it out. Thanks, Suzi.

PT, I searched and found many threads that I'll research after I grab some sleep, but here's the Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar one. You ladies with cats might want to read it also:

well almost 2 weeks (will be tomorrow) since my TAH got all my staples out friday, doing pretty good i have very little pain and most of the time when i do it is because of something i have done for instance last night i wanted to soak in a hot tub the paper he gave from hospital said it was ok well it really wasnt a good idea i hurt quite a bit afterwards i guess it was all the bending to get in and out of tub.....dr lowered my pain meds which i have only taken at bedtime and that is to be sure i get a good nights sleep, i slept in my own bed last night regretting that one my back hurts lol but all in all i seem to be doing well.....i am still not sure what my iron level is i know he said it was low in the hospital and it hasnt been checked since i left but i am gonna tell him friday i am having real dizzy spells which i say are a result of low iron see what else i can do i am on iron supplement twice daily anyhow thanks you all this sight has been amazing...
