Oh, yes, the sex issue. My husband is making me crazy and he hasn't even "been without" for 7 weeks yet, much less months like some of your poor hubbies have! I may have to mention that to him. I am worried about it and wondering if it will be painful.
My doctor doesn't do a 6 week checkup. Isn't that strange? I went in at the 2.5 week point and was told I don't have to come back until my annual is due. I was also told that I would still have to have pap smears and that I cannot lift more than 25 lbs. for a year after surgery!!! Anyone else been told that?

Wow that is weird! How will you know if you are okay to go back to work and stuff? I guess you need to listen to your body and make adjustments as necessary...
I just got back from the grocery store with my husband and I am dismayed at how all of a sudden I just couldn't take another step....Yes, I did quite a bit today, but still...I am supposed to back to work in another week! Anyway, he had to push the cart and unload and load up the car...Maybe he will have to continue the grocery shopping for a while

Well I woke up this morning with a terrible headache. Of course the day I am suppose to go back to work. So out comes the heating pad and massager, I thought maybe it was tension, worried about really being able to go back and be 110%. Took two Tylenol, rested until I had to leave at 2:30. I only worked 3-7 p, it wasn't too busy thank goodness. I am an emergency room nurse and sometimes it can become overwhelming. I had fun though but now I am tired and a little sore. I am going to take a hot bath and go to bed.....aaaahhhhh

i don't have a six week visit either. Saw the doc at 2 weeks, he did an internal exam, and said i was done w/him (he was a specialist). saw my regular gyn last week just as a consultation as to where i go from here, and she never mentioned to me about a 6 week visit, so.... i guess i'm healed. i do know not to lift anything heavy for a good long time.

I was doing pretty durn good until the truck hit the van..grr...now i have went back quite a few steps, i have serious swelly belly i am guessing from where the seat belt tightened..and i am back on narcotics, and it hurts to bend all over again, and i can not drive..sigh...so i went back what 3 weeks or so? one thing that does bother me is since the wreck all my bladder twinges have stopped which in a normal situation would not bother me but makes me scared that some kind of trauma has hit the bladder and it has fell or what ever it does..sigh..i am watching to see if i start leaking when i have to go or cough..no bleeding though from the wreck...DH and me did cheat the nite of the wreck with sex, but I was only what 4 days away from being okay..he was a wreck he almost lost us all and we were both emtional and well i said if something is going to be wrong what better time to find out..since the stupid er dr. just blew my surgery off and never even LOOKED at nothing but my scar..i was going to start trying to lift on Tuesday which was the 6 week mark, now I still can not lift because of the compression fracture that I go to see about on Wed. and to boot one of my main girls was in the van, so now I am down to her daughter as my main worker because Shery broke her ankle before the operation...so I am having to stay up and try to do what I can with Daniel which is making me hurt worse. At least at this point I can contain him in the pool. and his Autism school opens for summer July 5th and they go full days, that will help wonders. I finally got a reclining wheelchair for Michael which is a big help for me..and the insurance company about passed out when I told them I needed a 8,000 dollar wheelchair, I am turning it in on my medical on the car insurance because it will take months to get it together. I am a blubbering mess from all this, hormones are out of control, I am back in pain and dealing with more then I need to be and DH is a nervous wreck.
