Diver, ouch ouch to you with blocker injections. The spasms can't be from the kegals right?? 300 per day???

My doc mentioned doing Kegals way before surgery and told me she'd tell me all about what to do after surgery. Of course she didn't so now I am wondering if I should be doing these exercises. I am no longer leaking when I sneeze though.

How much is everyone working out now?

I am finding that my incision down low where it split open is still very senstivie. Therefore I have not jumped back into excercise yet. I am strecthing but not doing crunches, leg lifts, or anything like that. I find that at the end of the day of work that "split" areas aches and is still getting stabby pains even though it has healed. Sometimes the incision where it goes through my belly button aches too.

I am just really scared to be pulling on these areas yet. At the same time maybe if I stretch and excercise the incision more it'll improve it by using it.

I am still having a fair bit of pain and pulling each day. Of course, not as bad as it was the first few weeks but I guess I am surprised at this stage. The swelling is not as bad every day, so that brings some hope. I haven't started much exersise yet either for the same reason. I am just fearful it will hurt more and I will damage something.

Cecilia, thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure of I was holding myself back too much. I just don't want to go back to having inicsion pain that makes me have to lay down.

I am surpised to still be sore at 9+ weeks. I tried to wear jeans on Friday. It was my first attempt at wearing pants with a zipper. I lasted a few hours then I had to switch pants. I placed a pad along the length of the incision and up over my belly button inside my underwear but the pressure of the pants when walking and sitting was still a little too much.

Even though I still get sore I can really feel a marked difference now in my abdomen. It is much less sore overall. I can rub all over stomach now without pain. I guess it'll just be a bit longer before the incision is solid and painless.

I don't know about you all, but I have noticed a big difference in the last week or so. I almost don't think about it. 9 1/2 weeks seems like a long time, but I can see how far we've come!!! My incision is still touchy & I'm coming to that revelation that my belly will never look the same again, but I DO feel so much better that I'm telling myself it was worth it. I just didn't anticipate the big belly thing. I know that it is very vain of me, but it's hard enough adjusting to accepting the aging thing, let alone feeling old and fat!!!! Can you tell I've really accepted it? HA!!!

Even feeling this way, I have to say that sexually & emotionally, I do feel much better.

Feeling some of the "fat" (swelling is finally going down). Was able to stay on my feet and dance and walk and dance some more- for two hours. Keep coming ladies, we will get there!

Thanks for the hugs ladies....the front one worked, the back one, I'm not so sure. Ann....I want to ask if the Kegels are making it worse, but i'm afraid to call, I'm afraid he'll make me come in earlier!

I'm back to the gym or my walking tapes. I did a yogalates class last week....it felt good, but I had the vaginal, so no tummy muscles. I'm up to two miles plus some weights.

I do go see the GYN next week for hormone issues, or the lack of them? I'm feeling like a hypochondriac here with all the visits to the urogyn and now the GYN!

Sounds like we're getting along!

I just noticed today that for the first time in a few weeks my incision area hurt most all day. It scared me a bit but it went away with a couple of ibuprofen this evening. It is just 9 1/2 weeks for me and I really guess I am surprised. How about everyone? Shouold I call my doc or is this normal?

It seems we are beginning to fade, as we might expect. Not much activity on this thread but that is good in that we are recovering. It is nice to not be thinking about this surgery every waking min of every day.

Hang in there ladies!
