I am doing great, I went for my check-up last Thursday and the DR wants me to start pushing myself a little more. Told him I felt Great. The only restriction that I have left is no lifting over 20 lbs till the first of Aug, and being with my hubby until the first of Aug.

I had a TAH/BSO 5 weeks ago. I go on the 20th for my 6 wk appt. My doc told me that I will need a 1 yr check up and then a check up every 5 yrs after that. I don't have a cervix so it is pointless to do a pap because that is what they swab. Either way, there are pros and cons to losing the cervix. You can prolapse easier and have urinary probs later. But with my family history he decided I was at a high risk for cervical cancer so he took it out. As for my libido, I have been ready in that dept for 3 weeks now but I am still having pain around my incision so I am sure that might pose a problem. I have been reading that sex is painful afterwards. Could someone please alleviate my fears??? Thanx for any responses!

I had a TAH/BSO 6 wks ago, and my cervix was also taken out. We had sex for the first time last night and it was, well, great! I was really afraid it would hurt both around the incision and inside, but I felt no pain at all-everything was working like it always did, so I was very relieved and pleased-so was dh! We just took things slow and easy! Hope everything goes well for you!

I have my 6 week check-up on Thursday. I hope everything goes well and I am released for ALL activities. Please don't let the dr. tack on anymore weeks. DH is getting anxious and wanted to plan a getaway. But, I told him not to just in case I'm not released. Worried but hoping for the best!

It is so exciting to hear how well everyone is doing! It feels like such a major milestone to be at the 6 wk point and to be feeling so well. Sounds like all the Hystersisters are doing well too. I am so glad to have everyone to talk to. It helps to know others understand!

Wow, I'm jealous....you guys are allowed to be with your hubbys!!! My husband suggested I call my urologist you told me no sex for 10 weeks and ask if it was a type! lol......No, I'm not doing that! I still have 4 1/2 more weeks before sex! I had a TAH and bladder sling on June 1st. I am so happy to report I have no more stress incontinence. You have no idea how happy that makes me feel! No more pads for anything....woohoo!!!!

Well, I just got home from my first day back at work full-time. I am very pleasantly surprised at how well everything went and how good I feel. Already better than I have in a long, long, time! The biggest problem I had was wondering if maybe the Dr. removed my brain as well as everything else! The first thing I did was lock myself out of my computer programs and had to have all my passwords reset because I couldn't remember them!! Then it took me a while to get back into the swing of things. I'm a medical coder at our county hospital-and we use a computer encoder which requires that I have two computer screens and many different windows open to do my job. I did a lot of sitting and trying to remember where in the world do I go next? By the end of the day, things had pretty much all come back to me, but it was kind of funny. I actually enjoyed the day! I am going to sit down and put my feet up for the rest of the evening because I am pretty tired. Not hurting though which is a relief. I wasn't sure how it would feel.
dh told me not to worry about dinner, so I'm going to go kick back in the recliner!

Hey Everyone!

My post was moved..... ..... What I wanted to say was I was having soreness and pain due to washing house windows and cleaning of a rental. Thinking that I was over the hump. I was wondering at this stage that we are in if I could possible of over done it. The answer to that question is it looks like it. I feel sooo much better today but tummy is still sore. SO BE CAREFUL GIRLS!!! DON"T OVER DUE IT!! Other then that all is good...
