Ok it is kind of long but I will try to keep it short.
My parents are in their mid 80's but they act like they are in mid 60's as of last summer.
Well it was the Fri before Halloween my mom had to go in to have her heart scoped b/c heart dr did not like what he saw on x-rays so they put her as out patient and put her under slightly and prceeded with the little camera (scope) down her throat. My mom is a small person. The dr said he couldn't get down there so the test was never done. My dad took mom home and on Sat she was really in PAIN!!!
She wasn't able to swallow or eat. As the day went on her nect swelled up like a mans neck.
Sunday mid morning dad took her to emergency room and was admitted. Heart dr came in and had no clue what could have went wrong. SHE WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN!!!! The dr got a hold of a throat specialist dr. and he came in on Sunday night and knew pretty much what had happened right away. The throat dr said that she had a tare (sp?) in her throat (sorry I am crying now) that is what was causing the problem. He was going to operate on her on Tues morning (Holloween). That Monday night she call my dad and told him she was dying and she needed him ( sorry more tears)
Throat dr did surgery and found 2 tares(sp?) and infection so he fixed them. She was in the hospital for 2 weeks and did eat anything for almost that whole time.
She got home and it was really hard on my dad and mom. God Bless my Dad for being there and helping I Love Them So Much.
My mom got so depressed and all the dr appt my dad had to take her to is was non stop.
I told you it is long------
Then In March she needed cateract surgery on both eyes had that done. Just after the 2nd one was done my ds and I were going to visit them on a Sun. to suprise them well we got the suprise!!
My parents are on Cudimin (sp?) for heart. Well we walk in the house and in the dining room was a pool of blood looked like something off of CSI SHOWS. It was dried. Right away I called the hospital and mom was there. She slipped cut her eye bone by eyebrow and shattered her wrist.
She is still so depressed and she has short term memory loss. I feel so bad for her and my day ( tears again!)
Her wrist healed great and no surgery.
Her eyes still are not the best and there is infection weeping out of them and they don't know where the infection is coming from.
So are you tired of reading this yet?
Well this past week my ds of 15 wanted to spend time with grandparents and he is helping them with little things. He tells me things that are going on.
I am the youngest of 4 I have a brother that 48 lives in GA sister 50 lives not far from my parents and a brother that is 55 that lives 2 hrs from my parents we all try to help.
I don't talk to my sister much since our fight but she will let me know when she isn't going to be around to keep an eye on mom and dad. Only if she would ask me I call them every day or everyother day.
Again Sorry So Long!

Oh alson the heart dr moved out of the country to help his mother and he does not pratice medicine and my mom and dad couldn't take him to court b/c lawyers said they would win b/c of her age.
Thank you for letting me vent

I'm so sorry about your mother! I hope everything gets better for her soon!

As for everyone else, I'm jealous. I would love to join in on the sex talk. It's so funny to read everything you write. Cj, you had me on the floor! My libido is right up there with yours, I just don't have anyone to try it out with. I really need to get out more often (or find some kind of medication to get rid of my overactive libido!)!

I'll make you girls feel better.....two weeks after surgery I was like a dog in heat....I don't remember ever feeling that way..wow!!!!! But what good was it anyways, I was scared of myself ...and I had to wait all those weeks before hubby and I could do anything...it was torture..I understand men now...LOL.

So now that all is ready to go ........I don't have the libido of those first two weeks.....I am the exact same as I was before my surgery...very active....but if only I could go back to those weeks...I'd rip this house apart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....sigh....thinks about those dreams she use to have...................

Thank you Sillydays. I feel the same way. Hope we could keep in touch with each other indefinitely.
Today, I went to the local mall and walked for a long time. Love window shopping and looking at the new fashion and new gadgets.
Also, I found this Handbook that it is very helpful. It is called: The Healthy Mind Healthy Body. Maybe, you gals will like to read similar books to help with our healing process. Take care! and do keep in touch.

Sillydays, That is great for you and your hubby....I think I forget how.... i woke up this morning with the stiffest neck I've ever had in my life.....maybe it was the swimming or I just slept wrong, but ouch, can't turn my head to the right! I feel annoyed today! Phone keeps ringing.....For some reason, I'm feeling extremely aggitated today and I'm not usually like that. Who knows, menopause maybe or just a stiff neck....If you would have asked me yesterday about our libido, I would have answered I think it's liberating to go through this surgery and come out feeling better than before. It's liberating to knw we're not going to have to go through awful periods all the time and feel like *[email protected]&......I would enjoy your new feeling. I have 3 weeks and 6 days before I can be with my hubby!!!...

I suppose that it is our testosterone level. It is higher than ever before (not sure the reason), but one think I do know for sure now. I can relate to the poor guys now. As long as our DH like it, and won't feel overwhelm about it I think it is ok (don't want to wear them out )

CJ I am sorry to hear that your neck is sore have you tried to message it or put some heat on it? That might help. It does sound like you might have slept wrong.
Your time will come befor you know it CJ and then look out LOL!!!!!

RoseTulip I think you might be right and don't worry I don't think I could wear my dh out he waited to long but I do know only once a day then that is it but he can handle more in the week.
Take care
