It looks like it will be a beautiful day. I'm a long way from Cleveland. LOL I'm in the southern part of Ohio between Chillicothe and Gallipolis. Thanks for your welcome.

Rose Tulip, a restaraunt would have been wonderful this weekend. I think I overdid it for the first time since surgery. Everything had been so great, I thought three months had put me past "overdoing it." I mowed our yard, banks and all, with a push mower. (I'd been mowing since week 6 or 7.) Then I was on my feet all day preparing corn for the freezer, making slaw, cutting up tomatoes and peppers for salsa, cutting the boys' hair, and getting stuff together for our annual reunion. My tummy was sore, right where my uterus used to be, the next day. (yesterday) I'm okay today though.

I doubt there will be a dinner out. Today will be a day for mowing the pasture (Hubby will do that job), cooking down the salsa, cleaning house, and getting in the right mindset for going back to school.

Sillydays, before I get busy on any of that stuff, I'm off to read the earlier posts from this thread.

What is on your agenda today? Have a great one!

Okay. I am all caught up. Life just isn't fair, is it? Here we are ready to be pampered princesses, and life just keeps happening.

Lori, how are you doing now that you went off meds? How is your mom? My dad is starting to forget a lot of things too. The doctor said it isn't alzheimers, but he didn't really test him. His hearing aids aren't working. Sometimes, he can't hear and is oblivious to the world around him. Other times, it's a memory loss issue. Sometimes, it's hard to know which is bothering him.

CJ, is there any new news on the bladder front? I had a leaking problem prior to surgery. It is frustrating. As the doctor said after surgery, God was looking out for me. By the looks of my bladder, it shouldn't have been working at all. It works well now.

Oceanmist, how are you doing after being back to work for a long period? The infection is all gone and you are 100%. Right?

nurcruu, is the weight loss still coming? I'm proud of you being active in your plan to lose. So many people want to lose, but don't do much about it. I lost about 50 pounds before surgery and started a support group at church. Several would come in all discouraged. Our keys were Daily devotions, daily accountability, and daily discipline (exercise and portion control.) I would ask about the three keys, and they either couldn't answer positively to any or only one. Yet they couldn't understand why they weren't seeing success. Worse yet, were the ones who "joined" but didn't come or use the keys then got frustrated that nothing happened.

I am looking forward to school in one way. At school, I can only eat what I take. If I take controlled portions, I won't have to worry about overeating. I will also have daily access to the weight room so that I can do more in the way of exercise than walk or use the nordic trak. I don't have much more to lose, though 5-8 pounds would be good. I do have a tummy issue for sure. I doubt the swelly belly will ever be gone; there will always be a big flop of skin over my four time incision. I feel like my tummy above the belt needs some work though. Let's keep checking up on each other. I've learned that accountability really is an important key.

Sorry if I left anyone out. 9 pages of life is a lot to remember!

Hi Girls
Kenda I am glad you had a chance to read the posts and yes it was alot.

A quick update on my mom she has her good days yesterday she went shopping with ds (I don't talk to anymore since fight right before my surgery) and the my parents went to a cookout to some people they know that my dad used to work with they had a good time.
I am off of the Welbutrin now for 2 days. And boy am I CRABBY and EDGY.
I have to talk to dr tomorrow and get something else. I was so sick for 3 days. Saturday was just terrible.
My one girlfriend called us on Saturday night and asked if we wanted to go out I told her I was having a reaction from meds. my dh had to work on Sunday but he decided to go and meet her and her dh (she is having a bad time with her dh and she is depressed) I told my dh sure go but I thought since he knew I was bad off he would stay home in case I need him BUT NO!!!!!! He did not get home till 2:15 am Sun. and called in sick. (hung over)
He was telling me how her dh ignores her (well he should look at himself) also how depressed SHE is (WELL HE KNOWS I AM TOO I NEED COMFORTING!!!) They have money problems and he knows we do to.
He also said that another guy friend met them at the bar and my girlfriend dh and friend played darts while she off loaded on my dh. my dh said that he didn't talk to her much. Well I told him that when we go out WE DON'T talk much either. I know it is just wierd.
Can you tell I am crabby?
On a good note my brother from Georgia is going to be here this Wed well in Chicago for business and he is driving to my parents in GreenBay and we are all going to go out to eat. Yes even with my sister. No words will be said between the two of us I am sure. But I will be nice to see my brother for a short time anyways.
On another note I am hoping all of you that want to lose weight all the best and it will happen and keep thinking positive.
I had to finally go and buy new pants for work. Yes I lost alot of weight. Before surgery I was wearing about a size 10 or 12 and now I am in a size 4 maybe could fit in a 2 if I could find any. I am not sure if being this thin I am as healthy as when I was alittle heavier. But now I like to look at myself in the mirror. People I work with think I am anerxia but by all means I am not. I would never stick my finger down my throat. I eat but if I eat lunch I am not hungry for supper.
I guess that is all for now.
Take care
Hugs
Lori

Hi-sorry I haven't written; I've been reading and keeping up, but haven't sat down long enough to write. It has been a hectic several weeks, my father hadn't been well and we have spent a lot of time in and out of the hospital.

He passed away peacefully this afternoon at the nursing home. He was 91 years old and was beginning to really suffer from dementia, although he was still happy, content, and had his sense of humor. He was just taking a lot of trips on buses, airplanes and ships that he really wasn't taking. My dh went out to see him last night and had a good visit. He had a good dinner and was in good spirits. Evidently he went to sleep this afternoon and never woke up which is a blessing. We are doing well, a little laughter at memories and a lot of tears-my dh was as close to him as he is to his own parents since our families have known each other for many years. The hardest thing has been telling our two kids, but they will be fine. Our daughter is 27 and our son is 24. Physically I have been doing very well, still a little sore and of course today, finding out exactly what my physical and emotional limits are. It will all be ok, though.

I wish there was more I could do or say to help but I will pray for you and your family.
Keep us posted on how you are doing.

? I must have been thinking of someone else. Hmmm. I wonder who it was? I'm glad you never had one to begin with. LOL

jcmch, . My heart goes out to you and your family. Even when we can rationalize things, losing a loved one is never easy. I'll be praying for you.

Echo Brandy, it's weird that three months out we think we are all better, then WHAM! We find out we aren't. Mowing, canning, etc got to me over the weekend. I think today I may have over exercised that area. I hadn't worked out all week (since my four mile walk Monday) and tried to make up for it. It doesn't quite work that way. I'm not in bad pain. I just feel things I haven't felt for a long time, and I know I overdid a few moves. The back to work/school routine hasn't bothered me at all. I'm tired in the evenings, but I always am for the first few months of school. No more staying up late. I think 10 is my limit, and it is past that now.

Goodnight all.

My sympathy to you and your family JCMCH. No matter what the age of the person is, it is still a great loss. You have a lifetime of memories. We had a after football practice "wingnight" at my house last night. 30 hungry, active football players. (10th-12th grade). I think they had a great time, however, my legs were aching me by the end of the night. It was a lot getting ready for them coming and while they were at the house. Now, tonight's the game and I'm working selling tickets etc. before the game so I'll be on my feet again. On Saturday we've got a lot planned so I guess I have to wait until Sunday to rest up (maybe watching the Steeler-Browns game) Go Steelers! Take care...
