Help I really think I am losing it today

Hi gertierlp and whoamI,

I just heard from the dr. and he said that the lumps are adhesions forming. As I start to heal this is what happens and it takes a good six months to get better. I asked him the difference between that and a hernia. A hernia you can push back in. As far as my moods, it's post operative. He didn't seem too concerned, so I guess I'm ok. Now, I have to believe it. I forgot to tell him about my leg pain. Oh well, he said he'll see me in 3 months.

Hope you are all doing well.

Don't ignore your leg pain if it really hurts or if there is heat, reddness, deep pain. My mom developed a deep vain clot may months after her back surgery. She mentioned it in passing to the doctor because it was just an ache. They did an ultra sound and found the clot. She took the meds for six months and is fine now. So, go back to the DR if you are concerned...I bought the adhesion homeopathic remedy advertised on the Hyster website. I can't wait to use it. Laura

Help I really think I am losing it today

Dear Who am I,
Like fiberalchemist said it is a very normal response, but it just doesn't seem that way to oneself or others around us because it is not our usual response. Try to be easy on yourself and remember that not resting will cause a lot of depressive feelings too. It takes a long long time to fully recover from this surgery and sleep is at a premium. We need that more than anything. Even now 8 months out I'll still use a day now and again to just sleep. It's good you are talking to your doc. For me using a sleeping pill for awhile helped a lot as I wasn't sleeping at night. Someone told me first we heal physically and then we heal mentally. That was so true for me. You will get through this. Hang in there and know you are not alone.

Thanks Laura. I will call the doctor as soon as possible. I will check out the adhesion homeopathic remedy. You are about three weeks post op. How are you feeling? Are you exhausted?

Thanks again for the info.

Help I really think I am losing it today

Hello Ladies just checked in on the site and seen the responses, mybabechar please let us know what is going on, I am worried about you and praying everything is okay. I will d*****ately be on Friday to see what the test results are and I am sure you are okay. Ms. Cali thank you so much for your insight it is hard when you don't get the proper rest but I have such a hard time sleeping and tonight I cannot sleep at all I have a DR. appt. in the morning and they have to do a ECG to see if I am having seizures so that is something to look forward to. I have thought about going back to church myself I do miss going and it makes me feel so good to be there. My niece who is 20 was diagnosed yesterday with level 4 cervical cancer I am so worried about her and I really don't know that much about it so I am going to research it as much as I can. Man I will say this much when it rains it pours and it is like there is no end to the bad news this year. Ladies thank you all so very much I would not know what to do without you all. I have no connections outside of the house, except for work and I really kind of stay to myself to stay out of trouble so thanks again for being here, listening and for your opinions I just hope I can help and lend you all the kind of support you do me..

Help I really think I am losing it today

I would just like to know if any of you have family who thinks that you are psyco? My DD told me that I am and my DS's say the same thing and I don't understand why. I have just been wanting to keep the house clean thats all. My DD won't come and visit me unless she wants me to watch the grandkids and I even offered her money to help me finish painting and she would not come over. I have had the grandkids since yesterday morning at 11 and here it is almost 9 and the kids are still here. I feel like I am being taken advantage of but no one sees it that way but me. Am I wrong? I have an appt. tomorrow and I thought that I could get a little sleep today since I have to go sleep deprived and then stay up all night but with the kids I couldn't sleep, NO ONE UNDERSTANDS... Is it just me or are they right? I used to do all these things for them but now I feel abused because I needed help after surgery and could still use some but she didn't even lift a finger to help me. I was operated on a Monday and Saturday I fixed dinner she came over and ate and wouldn't even help do dishes or nothing am I just being weird or what? Is it to much to expect a little help right now? Or should I just quit saying anything and just do as I did before EVERYTHING? I am so confused and just want to run away.......ANy suggestions

You are so welcome, let us know how your legs are. BTW, mine are so restless...especially when I wake in the morning, I just want to stretch then so much...and I am having dreams, I was jogging for miles in my sleep last night and I liked it...I never jog in real life! But it felt good in my sleep...I am so restless! Laura
