She said that the nerves inside are coming back to life and the nerve endings are what are causing the burning, since the doc cut right through them. The nurse said, "Remember, this was MAJOR surgery and will take 6-8 wks to feel like yourself . Guess it's back to Lifetime for Women! I'm curious to know what TV shows you all are watching or what you're doing to pass the (boring) time? Sometimes it's gotten so bad I've watched the Weather Channel for hours -- Lord let this time pass quickly! ha ha

Christine;

I watch whatever is on TV that intrests me. i over-see the work that peole are doing for me---you know, know what i want done & "direct" them if they have questions.
i am catching up on my "reading"--and quilting 2 Christmas tree skirts that I made for my girls last Christmas.--and I walk around the inside of the house--(probably more than i should)-----and then i also do alot of "bird watching"

Hi again,

I hear you all about TV. I am sick of watching it. I love HGTV and watch that a lot, and I tried to DVR a bunch of shows in the weeks leading up to surgery but I'm already bored with that. I'm also on my 3rd JD Robb book.

My kids are home for the start of their summer vacation and they are already complaining about having to "do everything". Did teach my son how to load and unlaod the washer and dryer so that is helping a lot.

I was able to go to Wal-Mart today and get a few birthday gifts. Isn't funny that you get excited to go to Wal-Mart just to get out of the house for a while.

Have a great night

Hey ladies!

Endo--you are right we did have the same thing going on. I'm still trying to read all the posts. I have been having the same crazy headaches like most of ya'll. I really didn't have headaches until after the surgery. I'm also glad that I'm not the only one off kelter. Just call me stumblina! ;-)

Sorry you're hurting so much. I'm still hurting too. I'm still bleeding when I pee, its gotten lighter. I hope you feel better soon.

Question--My bladder spasms everytime I go to the restroom. I sit there, go, then go a little more then I'm back in the restroom 5-10min later. Granted this is pretty much in the morning when I go every 5/10 minutes. I noticed that many of you keep mentioning UTI, I've never had one so is that what it is?

anTessmakes3--I so know where you are coming from. I seem to cry at the drop of the hat all the time. I read a book the other day and boohooed for almost an hour. I keep apologizing to my parents because I've never cried as much as I have since the surgery. Talk about the hormonal big cry baby! Yikes! I hope it stops. But you know what though, I also haven't laughed so much either. My parents are a riot. Saturday my parents and I went shopping (window) and my mom went to the restroom w/me and I told her that I should have grabbed another mini. She reaches for the paper towels and says "You want me to make you one?" I laughed so hard, I almost passed out from the pain.

You guys have to understand. My mom is this tiny little thing with such a sweet voice but she is so off the cuff and crazy with some of the things she says; which totally explains my weirdness! God I love her!

Hello Ladies, I'm doing pretty good (whatever that really means). I am not on the computer as much right now. The sitting sort of gets to me after awhile. Since I also do my MK business and am in ministry online, I have so many emails to go through. But I notice I log on and check in here and then go put my feet up for a minute, which turns into a hour.

I'm sorry to hear, or read, that some of you are still having a lot of pain. I'm not doing too bad with pain, especially with my back condition, and that has surprised me.

I do share in the on again...off again, BM's. That is such a miserable feeling. I will be glad to get back to "normal."

I drove for the first time today. Took my youngest sons to our neighborhood center to register for swimming this year. Not bad...but different on the back.

Television consists of HGTV, Fine Living, Christian networks (TBN, Daystar, Chruch Channel, etc.) and the Hallmark channel (lot of Matlock, Diagnosis Murder, Murder She Wrote, etc.)

But I'm also an avid reader and have tons of books that I still have not read, yet. So, in that respect I'm pretty occupied. Just don't have the same level of energy, currently, I had before. I know it has only been 13 days since my surgery...but I did kind of expect to be doing a little better in that department.

Anyway, it is good to read through all of the posts and see that everyone is coming along in their recovery. I have my first post-op appt. on Wednesday. I'll be sure to post again with the pathology report findings...then I'll be able to put a "proper" signature with hyster info. In the meantime, take care everyone!
