PooHads and Anuchia:

YAY!!!! Great news! I am so happy you're both doing so well.

Guilt? I know what you you mean. Since I've had so much time to reflect on things, I've been wondering what this says about us, that it takes a major surgery to force us to take some time for ourselves and then to feel guilty about taking time to heal.

I was wondering if anyone is having burning pain below their incision? Also, upset tummy?

Endocat, phew. Sorry you're still hurting, too but oddly relieved I'm not the only one.

Hi MBowers, yup. Burning and nothing seems to help it. Not ice, not Motrin ... when I take a stronger pain med, it puts me to sleep so I guess that counts for something. No upset tummy but I'm not eating a whole lot either. Anyone find something to help the burning?

Can't help ya with the incision question since mine are all internal (and yet painful, none the less.) But yes, I have lost my appetite recently! Was eating great when I came home from the hospital, but lately can only eat a few bites. I assume my appetite is reduced because my activity is reduced. I've even lost weight. Weird.

And I agree on the weird smell. It might be expected but there's nothing "normal" about that funk! lol

Seriously! What's wrong with us women that we can't even allow ourselves time to recover from MAJOR SURGERY without feeling that pesky emotion?! If only we could just shut it off, life would be so.....

...like a man's life! LOL

As far as eating goes - my appetite went out of control this weekend! And actually today still! I also was a bit crabby yesterday. So this morning I took out the calender, counted back and lo and behold this would have been my time of the month. So PMS prevails! Well, at least my body is remaining on track. Anyone else have their usual symptoms? I went to my Weight Watchers meeting yesterday and I only lost 2.4 pounds. Not fair! I swore that removing my huge uterus would finally bring me to goal. No such luck! Oh, well maybe I'll have a better weigh - in after my swelly belly goes down. Take care, Ann Marie
