I mean, I can stop if I HAVE to! hee hee Today I didn't walk at all because the raining in East Tx is intense. Even my dog doesn't want to go outside, so I finished up my 4th book then most stupidly took my stepson to see the new Transformers movie....it was 2:45 mins. long!!! Aaaarrrggghh! That kind of sitting really bothers me, but I took a few (much needed) breaks throughout the film. I was telling my DH all about this site & my new buds, and how I feel guiltly having to rest every few hours and his repsonse was, "Hey, I love it when you're resting because then you're not asking me to do anything!" Cute, huh? Plus he said when I'm resting my body is healing, but over the last week, I'll do stuff for about 1-2 hrs, then go watch TV or lie w/ the htg pad (my favorite healing tool, fyi). Last night I watched a movie called "Dejavu" w/ Denzel Wash. and it was really cool; I need to watch the 2nd half again as it is tricky, but I'd recommend it.

Tonight I took Melatonin & some herbal tea, but that was about 2 hrs ago, and since I can't get sleepy thought I'd come here. I've had major surgery before, a 2 level back fusion to be exact, but never exp. this level of fatigue. Even when I had an LAVH it wasn't this bad. It's really weird, and as I type this I can hear my DH slightly snoring and I think "Lucky!!!"

Before I go, if there is anyone who had endomtetriosis cut/burned off w/ a TAH, please tell me if you're having pain. I truly, truly am and would like for it to stop now. I did read as I searched this site, I think on the page for husbands, that when there is endo recovery is worse. Who knows, but I sure am having to practice patience, and I think it's so much harder w/ ourselves. Night ladies! Hope you all sleep well. Cris
fyi: it is 1:49am here..............
Cris: I personally have NO trouble with your telling the Dh that after reading many a posts on the HS site, you have come to the conclusion that "cooking" is far too stressful on your tummy muscles.---

and in all honesty, the times when i have had the worse pain episodes, was when i had been walking around the kitchen for extended periods, or like tonight when I stood up while making a cucumber salad & setting the table.--the back pain was just awful. but hey--we'll get "there"--one day!!!

Must be the night for insomnia- here it is 2am and I am wide awake. I did not have endo but I did have major adheasions cut and burned. they had to peel bladder and colon apart and then cut it apart and yep I am still in pain. Another thread had words about ULTRAM on it to help with pain, plan on checking into that.

Good Morning All! I hope everyone's recovering well. Has anyone experienced 3 days of "Migraine"? I had my 4 weeks post-op check-up and my doc. said because of my hormone level is very low that's what causing my migraine. So back to percocet. Also he told me "no more napping" in the afternoon so I can sleep well at night. It doesn't really work, I still wake up at 1:00 am and restless. Oh well. I feel ok, a little sore from walking (too much) yesterday, I got carried away. I felt like a "free bird"!

I use Ultracet (similar to Ultram) for flare-ups with my fibromyalgia. For me it works during the day, but I can't take it at night. For some reason it has an effect that causes me to wake-up. Took me months to narrow it down to the Ultracet. This was all pre-castle. Hope this helps!

Two posts in a row. Record for me! Anyhow, yes, I've experience many 3-day migraines. Prior to the I was diagnosed 3 years ago as with chronic migraines. I found that percocet, darvocet, etc., didn't work for me. However it's a blessing if it's working for you. Everybody's body is different. If you need to talk more, I'm here. I hope your pain is much improved by now!

i keep having headaches, don't know if they're migrane. They hurt my whole head (as if a ring around my head) and very painful. I'm sure it's due to low estrogen. no ovaries now, on estrogen patch. not sure if dose is high enough and will check that out at the 6 week appointment.

By chance have anyone of you been having sharp needle jab pains, kinda like a sharp internal stitch poking you from inside then after experiencing localized fairly intense pain that lasts rest of evening? OUCH! Just got my second one. Hurts!!!! I hope it's not a sudden tear. I go to DR on Thursday.

I went for my check up today

so I went for a post -op check today. I had a list of items. Sometime the dr. said not much. Did do a test for a UTI--preliminary test came out negative. yea, good but then what is all of ths going potty about?? waiting on the second test. apparently I am healing well but am I discharged??No-one knows--but then i was not told to come back--so i guess all is good(?) still in pain, & can't do much but apparently that is not an issue either. Bless you all for being here.

I really have trouble reading some of the posts and seeing how dependent and down right demanding some post hysters appear to be, not just on family and friends, but some still are on painkillers, prescription narcotics, etc. Working at a hospital, I have seen too much in the ER over the years. ALL medications have interactions and side effects- i.e. narcotics cause constipation, stool softeners cause gas, most cause irratibility, inability to drive, etc. You don't know how you REALLY feel until you move forward.
This is just my humble opinion, for what its worth.[/quote]

-----------------------------------

the above sounds more judgemental than humble.
i feel very lucky that i don't have the pain some of you ladies are dealing with and i really hope you find an end to it soon.
i had my hyst due to prolapsed uterus and bladder, non-functional ovaries, severe periods, and peri-menopause. a lot of the sisters dealing with intense pain seem to have also had fibroids or endo removed. i wonder if that's more painful than (mine - l.a.v.h.) removing uterus, ovaries, cervix and suspending bladder. it must be. i really hope you feel better soon!!!

i'm reading that some sisters are having insomnia and fatigue. the insomnia is definietly due to low/no estrogen so both doc's tell me. insomnia was a problem before and after surgery, for me with (low estrogen, then no ovaries). patch doesn't help with this, but it seems to control my hot flashes, night sweats, mood, joint pain. those are good odds.
the fatigue, i can't explain but it's really bothersome. i've never been one to take a nap and didn't feel i needed one until this past weekend.
feeling very tired suddenly, and back pain's increasing. anyone else?
we really all do have unique ways of healing. don't give up hope if you have a day that feels like you're regressing. we'll get through it all.

thourough lady. When i left her office I knew all I needed to know and the "whys".
