I have to say I so dreaded the recovery but here I am day 9 out from surgery and I already feel better than I have in months or maybe even years. Who knew this was going to be such a good decision?

Feelbettersoon, I just responded to another post of yours in another thread! I have NO regrets, I feel wonderful. My DH has said this past 10 days I'm more like I was when we first met. I can't get over the difference. I'm on a low dose estrogen also. I didn't have much choice in the matter, but am so glad things are going well.

feeling good

My TVH was on 6/15, so I'm at 6 days post op and feeling great! I am surprised at how good I feel. I have to remind myself to take it slow. I went for a long walk this morning and I'm not as tired as I thought I would be. I haven't been taking pain meds except for motrin. I hope all of you out there have a speedy recovery. I have had no bleeding since the surgery and am looking forward to no periods...YEAH!!! Best wishes fellow princesses.

Just got back from the Drs. My stitches are out. I had a LAVH/BSO on June 13th. I also can drive now. My Dr said that I can do any low-impact exercise I want to: walking, ellipital trainer at the gym, swimming... I decided that I am going to wait until after the weekend to go to the gym but I will start walking tomorrow. She said to take it easy. The only concern she had was my blood pressure it was 140/90. Mine is usually 110/70. I have never had blood pressure that high before. I wonder if it has something to do with surgery. Anyone else had that experience? I have to go back next week for her to check it and if it is still high, I will go to my internist next week.

Oceanqueen, my TVH was on the 14th, and like you, I feel great. I do get tired easily, though. like after my shower. I had to lie down today...but that's ok. I went for a manicure today...gosh my hands look pretty. Tomorrow's my pedicure! I'm trying to do one little outing a day!

I have some cramping, but mostly from the dreaded gas pains. Still some "BM" issues, too. I sometimes do have to remind myself that I had MAJOR SURGERY just a week ago!!!

Take care all you princesses!! What a great place this is!

Also, it's funny, cause I was told no driving for 2 weeks!! No lifting...no nuthin!!

I did sew a pretty valance today, though!!

Hi girls, I think you are all wonderful getting out like you are, I haven't left the house. I just haven't felt like facing the world yet. I feel pretty good, no longer on any pain meds but don't feel confident enough to go out. My exercise has been going up and down the stairs about 6 times a day. I think I will get my husband to take me out for a while tomorrow. Stay tuned for the outcome.

Sorry to hear you are not doing well. I went to the dr today and I was told I have a mild ui infection. My dr. said that it's really common when you have had a catherter. I am on antibiotics for the next 5 days. I never did get a fever. Take it easy and rest.

Finally starting to feel a little bit normal. Felt good 1 1/2 days after surgery and all of a sudden dizzy, naseau, headache and then right side of body went numb and I couldn't remember anything including my fiance. So I ended up in the ER via ambulance and in the hospital for 1 1/2 more days. Horrible. Neurologist said it was the worst migraine he'd ever seen but mirgraines are very common. I'm glad to be home. Pee takes longer to come out and bms are pretty painful.. Gas very frequent and I'm glad to pass it. I made it to my daughter's karate class and softball so I feel a little normal. I move very slow but getting better every day.
