Hello everyone:

Peggy~ Sorry to hear the news. Just a little longer and you will be feeling awesome. It is good to read that you have a sense of humour about it and I know that attitude will make it easier. Stay positive; it is a gift we can give ourselves.

Today was my first day back at work. I did a seven hour day and by the end my swelly belly was in full swing and I was tired. My head was in a slight fog today too. I guess it will take a few days to get my head around it again. I work in an accounting department and HR. Details are fuzzy, but they are coming back. lol...

Otherwise I am feeling okay, just tired. I will hit the bed early tonight.

I know what you mean about feeling like you again. I to had suffered many years with pain and the heavy flows. The last few years I was in pain most of the month and suffered with amenia.

It is amazing how different I feel. It really is a fresh start!

Take care ladies

Hello Sisters!

Today was my 6-7 week check up! Dr. was very happy with how well I healed up. She gave me the ok for sex! Which my DH is very happy about especially since I had been bleeding for over 30 days before the surgery! Dr. said I am now able to resume to my normal lifestyle. Back to excersize! It is weird tho, I still ovulate and have tender breasts and can feel my overies cramping. But that is it. Yes, after what I have been going through since last August, (oh my gosh it's been a year of this crap! ) I feel fantastic. The surgery was hard and I thought I would never be the same energy wise, but I"M BACK! My family is excited also. Yes, I have swelly belly and have not fit into all my clothes yet. I do come home after work and rest for about an hour. I still drink lots of water. Stay active and I made it through! I am happy! I want to say thanks to everyone on this support sight! You cannot believe how much help you have been! *pig*

Here's to my sisters!

I am officially 7 wks post op.
I feel really great....today wasn't one of my best, but hey, I'm not gonna complain...(well not too much)
I was given the "all clear" for all normal activity.
DH and I had sex Tuesday night and it was GREAT...
No pain just tenderness...

I do have night sweats tho...I still have right ovary...
But if that is all I have to deal with...I'm good..

I had a customer ask me if I was pregnant the other day...Boy...what a wake up call...
I didn't let it bother me too much...I've lost weight and i'm down to 139...I know I need to lose about 14 more, but hey..I'm proud that's all I weigh now...

I hope everyones recovery continues to go well...

Enjoy life with no more uterus...I'm going to....lol

Thanks for all the encouragement throughout this trial...
Hystersisters was definitely put on here by the help of God to see us through...

Oh NO!

Went to dr today for, what I was hoping was the "all clear" post-op visit. Well, guess what No GO! Seems my internal stitches are still there. I feel great, haven't had ANY bleeding in weeks, until today. Even now, though, it's just a bit of spotting, and that was only because of the internal exam. So, she says, no intercourse till Sept 1. I thought she was joking. I said you're kidding! She said no, it could cause bleeding, never mind dh could have the stitches, um, poke HIM! Oh boy! I told the doc she'd better write a note to dh!!

And, no gym till Sept. No heavy lifting till Sept 1. I can ride my bike though. So, that was the ONLY good news she gave me!

I feel fine. I forget I even had surgery. I thought for SURE I'd be cleared for everything.

Oh well...could be worse, I suppose!

Dear Godisgood,
I think I just went through the ovaries doing there thing these last couple of days.. my boobs were killing me little cramping and felt like blah and then it was all over.. so this is the first time I went through just the ovary ovulation.. I still have a swelly belly too and it really bugs me but hey it takes time and I cant wait for the ok to do some toning exercises ...

Thanks for you mail now I know what I was going through.. I hope it gets better when everything is done and over with.. and that the ovary cramping and ovulation is less aggrivating.. I start my first day back at work on Friday so that is going to be a thrill... wearing military uniform with belt and combat boots Yep no comfort there.. oh well I will get into a schedule again yippee I am so looking forward to that..

Thanks again and so glad you are doing great

hey girls, havnt seen your posts as of late, lets not lose touch, having my coffee getting ready to leave for wk.. 97 w/92 percent humid.. you be careful in the heat this week. Its meet the teacher tom, and kids come back the 13th, few more days..... It did feel strange being backin swing of it yesterday, first day back for teachers, just wish it was 20 degrees cooler out. My gentle yoga classes are helping me so so much, still gaining strnth but at myown pace, butcan sure tell they help very much. Not walking right now, as its way to hot and humid, may start slow on my treadmill later this week, evan if its for a slow 10 min, better than nouthing.
pray all continue to heal.. and listen to what our bodys are saying at times, I still had relations yet either and Dr said no lake swimming yet.. but God has been good so far, was a rough road but so so much better....
have a safe and blessed day
north ga mountains....

Hey Creekwood,
I am so Glad to read that you are doing well .. Did your Dr give you specifics at what you are allowed to do for exercise? I think I will do the tread mill also if its tooo hot out on the track. I woke up this morning and felt like all my muscles were tightening up and just the simple movement of sitting up I nearly fell over.. so I guess its another stage of it all?? Oh well I am so happy that its all over with let the healing begin!!!!!and continue and finish in speedy time..

Take care and God Bless those who are still at home and recovering and those who are starting work.

Hi Sisters,

I am feeling great! It is good to know all that is behind me. I started excersizing again, no problems, sore muscles tho. Other wise I am glad to be back doing what I am suppose to. DH is happy also. But, still easing in to sex. I am a little nervous. I did not go full blown ab excersizes either. I hope everyone is doing great and getting back to your normal routine. It is not easy but we have to do it......sometimes slowly.

Prayers and Blessings. Lora

Hello All
I am experiencing more good days than not so good days. I have started to do more stretching exercises as my hip often feels like its going to come out of joint. I don't know if it helps, but yesterday I was out picking blueberries in 90 degree weather and my hips did not bother me at all.
Today we are supposed to hit 103 so I may keep my activities in the house.
