Radiating heat at night

I am taking Premarin .625 and have been doing really well on it until just recently (this past week). I wake up every night about 1:00 feeling like my skin is on fire. :burning: I have turned down the air conditioner and laid on top of the covers under the ceiling fan, but the only way I can go back to sleep is to go to the guest bedroom where the sheets are cool. I don't sweat, but my skin feels so hot to touch! My DH is tired of waking up alone every morning. Anybody else have this problem?

Radiating heat at night

Yep, I had this problem for quite a few months post op. Dh would roll over to hug me and than quickly roll over the other way. Way toooo hot for him. He said that my body literally radiated heat. It is quite common during the early months post op. Your body is going thru many changes. Have you put a fan next to your bed? The ceiling fan didn't do much for me, but the fan next to the bed helped.

If you're only feeling hot at night and not so much during the day, maybe splitting your dose of hrt would help.

in there. Things can get better.

Radiating heat at night

I will try the fan--thanks for the idea. DS, DD, DH and I all sleep with fans for white noise. I will make sure ours is pointing at me! It helps to know that I am not alone in this too! It is such a change for me--I am usually the cold one, sleeping with socks!

Radiating heat at night

i hit menopause (age 41) before my tah, trust me. leave one foot (no socks) out of the covers over the edge of the bed. it really does work as i was told to try it from many women. then when i went into the night sweats, (always thought i was catching the flu, i too was on fire) i finally got a nurse on call that told me to start sleeping on a beach towel or large bath towel. it was cooler than the sheets. woweeeeee it really worked until i was out of the pre-meno and into the real thing. that night stuff too hard. i got on hrt and love it, sleeping a normal all night life again and not out on the couch anymore. 10 years later and still sleeping normal.
