Update - doctor called me in a prescription for fluconosal (sp) because it sure feels/looks like a yeast infection and not just regular discharge - no bleeding, no stitches - so we'll see if it works - thanks for the advice.....

Hope you all are well - blue moon - talk to the doctor - don't risk your health! Maybe you'll just need extra rest - but you should ask.

I know exactly how you feel! I felt SO good last Friday when I saw the doctor - actually felt like my old self. Saturday was sluggish, but I was better on Sunday. Then, yesterday and today I have had absolutely NO energy! Thank heaven for this site, which let's me know it's all normal! I'm trying to live the "one day at a time" motto, and be thankful that I'm on the road to recovery.

My biggest outing will be Thursday (3 weeks from surgery date) when my DS, DD and I will go see the new Harry Potter movie at the IMAX theater. I'm excited, but worry I will get worn out and blow the whole outing (though, how can one get worn out watching a movie?). I'm sure I will be fine, and it will be good to do something "normal" for a change. The house continues to be a mess (except for the items DD takes care of for me), and it's frustrating, but I let it go. It is more important for me to heal than it is for the carpet to be vacuumed, after all.

I'll just continue to play Scarlett and say "tomorrow is another day!"

Anyone else bored out of their mind? If so, please drop me an email! I'm finding myself missing adult conversation!

Love to all,
I was there today too! I really enjoyed it at IMAX and it didn't wear me out too badly to sit through that 2 1/2 hour movie either! (oops edit...I see that you are going on Thursday - enjoy it... it is loads of fun! Be sure to P before you go in )

Do you have a neighbor that could help or that has teen kid that could come over till your husband comes home to pick up toddlers? I think you should call the doctor to at least see what she/he says!

I read where others are driving and I tried yesterday but don't think I'll be doing that. Didn't drive far - bout 20 min. roundtrip and didn't get outta car.

My 2nd doctor told me I'd probably see stitches/sm blood discharge in about 90 days cause they used nondissolving stitches. Said they stitch up hole in area where uterus/vagina was - my reg ob/gyn didn't tell me that. S'pose that's why we can't have sex till we're all healed in area that they (mine) didn't tell me about at the beginning.

For my bm I eat cherries each day (they make me go) and make sure you eat protein. Hot tea might help too - I used it in hospital and when I first came home. I was told that the protein helps us heal better/quicker.

Yes, me, too. Beginning 4th week now and everything is better, even the fatigue.
Still taking it easy and resting often, but very grateful for improvement overall.

Swelly belly is worse than ever but after reading other posts I think it is completely normal.]
I wear SPANX all the time now. TMI alert, I cut the crotch out ! Easier on me if I have a little fresh air "down there".
hA. DH likes it but he is getting NOWHERE near that zone for a while!

Remember all those people (maybe from church) that said "call if you need ANYTHING"?? Call one or more of THEM and tell them what you need now! Swallow any and all pride and explain that you need someone to help with the kids at night.... and for heaven's sake CALL THE DOCTOR!!!

I called the doc. She says not to do anything else and go back to bed. No walking ... no nothing for 3 days! UGH! I can go to the bathroom and thats it. UGH! Well at least I didn't do too much damage although I am still in a lot of pain and can't fall asleep. Pain meds are not helping.

I would call someone to help but there is no one. Our church is deserted currently as they all are at summer camp with the kids. The ones left behind are either about to have a baby, just had a baby, are elder, house ridden, or recovering from surgery. Those not at camp are away on vacation. Most of the houses around me are empty -- so no neighbors. And my dh is mad at my best friend so she can't help.

She watched the kids last friend. Her house is always a pig sty well it was worse than ever I am told. With bm everywhere. The kids came home black, had to be scrubbed down, and everyone was upset. Dh said it needs to be condemned and that someone could die from entering that place. I saw it a few weeks ago and wouldn't want to leave my kids there. It was horrible. She was suppose to make it better -- I guess it got worse. Sigh!

She is mad at me now for dh's comments but if it is as bad as he says I agree. The kids should not be there. Hers shouldn't either but thats a whole different issue. The problem is ... now he doesn't trust her to take care of them at any time which leaves me without a backup to my backups to my sitters. UGH! Who knew finding a sitter would be so difficult!!

Know it sounds like there isn't anyone around BUT couldn't the friend come over to your house for a few hours each night till your husband gets home? You'd be there and it'll be just till about their bedtime or their bedtime?

I think your hubby would prefer you got better than had setbacks and have to go back to hospital.

to blue moon rose

hi, just thinking, call the hospital you had your surgery at, ask for the social work dept, or any social worker, ask them for suggestions, they ususally know of agencies, or volunteers that may be able to help, (i am a hospital social worker), we usually know alot of community resources, or so we should., also any connection to high schools, teachers??? could help you find a high school young lady who might be able to assist you.
